I thought this chapter was positively hilarious. I;m not sure why, but i found this chapter more funny than the rest...maybe it's because I;m drinking green tea. [/randomness] I loved Hermione putting Ron's wardrobe in front of the blackboard. Very clever.
Author's Response: Hmm...green tea...maybe! Thank you, this could be my favourite chapter too! I had such great fun excerting Hermione's revenge! And you almost got your Malfoy prediction from a while ago right! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed reading this one, as I really got a kick out of writing it!
Was that last one Voldemort?
Maybe, Fudge should write to Dumby asking for help on his subtlety?
Author's Response: Well, all the letters are completely confidentual, so I really couldn't say... *Develops sudden twitch, causing head to bob up and down in an almost nodding action...* *Giggles* That's (Fudge's subtlety letter)actually a really great idea! I'll see if I can fit it in!
(Oh and since I forgot to mention it in my last review and the 'delete' button wouldn't let me delete and re-review, when I read Hermione's letter, I was assualted with a mental picture of Hermione snogging Malfoy and Ron going balistic.)
Ok, onto this chapter. I thought it was very mature of Ron to be nice to Hermione, and very immature of Hermione to provoke him, though it was funny.
Parvati's a laugh, really, she's always portrayed as ditzy and girly in fanfiction, but honestly, I never saw her as that in the books.
Author's Response: (You know, I don't think the delete button works, as I've tried it before when I made a typo, but it just took me to a blank page. Quite embarrassing, as I corrected a mistake (in the story) in my review, only to become slightly hypocritical!) It's interesting you should say that about Hermione+Malfoy=Ron going balistic... *Giggles* Sort of, anyway! Basically, with Ron and Hermione, they were both just following Dear Dumby's advice - Ron was being really nice to Hermione, whilst at the same time Hermione was trying to make him jealous! No, I agree about Parvati, I think it's just as she and Lavender are such a contrast to Hermione, it's been exagerated a little. Although I personally think she's not nearly as ditzy and girly as she's portrayed...even if I am guilty of it myself! It did fit quite well though... *Scowls at my own hypocriticalness* Well, I'll definitely try to be careful of that in the future.
Once again, your articles have entertained me. These aren't so much the laugh out loud type of things as subtly humourous ones. It' sometimes preferable that way. In this case, I'm glad it's not laugh out loud funny as it would seem more random and less realish. (And I might get yelled at for waking up everyone in the house.)
Author's Response: *Giggles* Well, at least my writing's good for something (ie: not waking up everyone)! I'm pleased that you're enjoying it, thanks!
I like the way that you are switching between the Dear Dumby issues and real life. It gives an even more humouress aspect when we get to see the effects of everything.
Author's Response: Thank you, I like writing the variety of them both, and hopefully it adds more interest to the story.
Very clever. You not so subtly hinted who each belonged to, which made it twice as funny. I particularly liked Ron's (AKA- Confused) letter. His fanon daftness shows again. He's not proclaiming his love in an anonymous article. Does he realise this? (I also thought Dumbledore's comment on hiring someone else to teach Potions was funny.)
Author's Response: Ah yes - the term 'subtlety' doesn't seem to really have sunk in to the magical world! Poor Ron, so desperate to be in denial, I think by the time he re-reads his letter, he does see more of what he really feels - no, wait, sorry, what his friend really feels! ;-p Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it!
I thought this was quite a piece. I noticed subtle hints of what is considered cliched. The way you put addded it in, I've assumed that you ment them to add humour. Such as, Ron's ravenous appetite, Ron's fanon dumbness (no homework done and 'useless' replies) Harry's quick reference the another ball. I'm looking foward to reading on!
Author's Response: Yes, most of those were making fun of the overuse! (I'll admit, one of them wasn't, but this was my first ever fanfiction piece! To be honest, I'm really tempted to change some of it...) But yes, I was making fun of a few things there! I'm glad you liked it - by all means, please read on!
I don't get the ron thing write more pwease
Author's Response: Well, what exactly didn't you get with Ron? Basically, he's arguing with Hermione... Let me know what you didn't understand, and I'll explain!
THE FANCLUB IT IS!
School's out anyway, so I have nothing better to do. I'm going to try emailing you, see if it's still working...
Author's Response: School's out? Alright for some! I've still got over a month left! Oh dear - I'm slightly in fear of this fanclub...!
I love this story! It's different than any other story that I've read. I've read some that have just wierd humour in it, but this one I can just understand. I love the Voldemort quiting evilness. You'd never think that he would do that, but the way that you make Voldemort cry on Harry's shoulde. That was hilarous!
Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really pleased that you think all that, as I really wanted this to have a decent storyline incorperated with laughs. So I'm glad you seem to think I can do both! Thanks for reviewing!
hahaha, that was very funny!! it had me laughung out loud a couple of times! are you going to update? please?
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm really pleased that you're enjoying it. Yes, I will update - but it may take a while. Check out my livejournal for update info, but I will update...sometime! Hopefully soon...
you're back now, yeah? so you will update soon, yeah??? yeah??? yeah????
sorry, im so tired at the moment...
Author's Response: Yup, I'm back now! I will try to update soon, honestly, but I am just so busy right now. But I will try to finish off chapter 11 soon, promise! Thanks for reviewing!
*wpies tear of laughter* beautiful! Update!
Author's Response: 'Beautifu'l? Definitely makes a nice change from 'monstrosity'!! Thank you!
This is great! I havent laughed so hard in ages!
Author's Response: Thanks!
This story just keeps getting funnier! The thing with Neville is great! He's so concerned!
Plus, he thought his plant ate the wardrobe, but really it's been sitting in the History of Magic classroom all this time? That's great!
Author's Response: Oh,
Author's Response: Oops - sorry! Wrong button! What I was going to say was, Oh, I had such fun with the whole wardrobe fiasco! That'll teach 'em not to pay attention in History of Magic, eh?! Thanks for reviewing!
I've really been enjoying the story so far. What a great idea! I can really see Dumbledore doing something like that, and making even Fudge go along with it. Of course, it's particularly hilarious that now everyone else knows it!
Author's Response: Thanks! Poor old Fudge... Well, not so much! Will he ever figure out his chair, if he is able to take advice from dear old Dumby? Probably not - those things are death traps! Not that I speak from experience or anything...
like all the leprechauns at the world cup in GoF said: HA,HA,HA! hilariosity. fave line: "Rob! That person I bought a new quill from three years ago!" great. and like that other reviewer said, 12/10. and happy birthday.
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! I had a lot of fun writing the diaglogue between Ron and Hermione, so I'm really pleased that you liked it. Thanks for reviewing!
Great. Funny keep it up
Author's Response: Thanks, I'll try!
LOL! hilarious! Keep it up! *still laughing* gardening club...lol....
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I personally think that the gardening club is one of Voldemort's better ideas... Glad you're enjoying it!
Author's Response: Thanks!
