Alright, my curiosity isoverwhehlming. WHERE'S THE FRIENDS REFERENCE?????
This was very well written, and an in depth look into what Harry may have been going through after Dumbledore's death. I also liked the small scene between Dean and Seamus, because no one ever seems to write about them, and it was nice to see them in there somewhere.
There was a Friends reference? idk...maybe I just haven't seen that episode. Anyway, that was really well done, it made me cry. It was like losing Dumbledore all over agian. It made me realize just how hard that was--is--for Harry, I always knew it was hard...but I never really understood it. That was really well done. **sniff**
Very Sad! Boo Hoo!!
i love all of ur stories and this one was also amazing, no surprise, and i loved how they both comfort each other. i'd say that scene needs to be added to the book
OH MY GAWD!That was really sweet.Im actually crying! Keep up the great wotk.hopefully you write more stories like this
Wish these special little moments could really be in the books. This was written so well. You are a wonderful writer, please keep it up.
This was a really touching story! You write exceptionally well and I enjoyed reading it. Harry and Ginny are spot-on, and the dialogue is perfect. Great job! ~Gina
This was brilliant. It was so well written, and it was like you just opened up Harry's brain and put it all on paper. This is exactly how he would be feeling, and you described it all perfectly. It was so sad, and I just had to sit for a moment before reviewing, because I was so sure I was going to cry. Anyone that can make readers cry is extremely talented, and that you are. This was so much like J.K that it was unbelievable, and I congratulate you on such fantastic writing. Harry and Ginny are the perfect couple, and are meant to be together, and I loved this story and how perfectly it described their relationship. Well done. This is going on my favourites list, I think I'll read it whenever I feel like a bit of a cry. 10
Wow, brilliant job with this. I love looking through people's favorites lists and finding treasures such as these hidden. I love that you have Harry fighting the tears for so long and ultimately, he doesn't lose the battle against himself but can cry openly with her. There was a line that touched me deeply, mostly because it's something I've thought a lot about. "He’d begged Snape, too." I've wondered so much at JKR's wording there and pondered the meanings. I like that you had it separated and standing alone. Very good job and I'll put this in my favorites as well.
Wanted to cry?? Oh no, I was most definitely cryine. This was amazing. You are a terrific writer and should keep it up. Awesome job.
I wanted to cry, that was so....amazing. It was brilliant! a million out of ten! and I've read another of your one shots too. You're a really talented writer. =)
That was so beautiful. I got all choked up. I wish there had been a scene exactly like this in HBP. I loved the "we were on a break!" too..That cracked me up. Excellent job!
Fabulous story. That was so well written, and I love the missing moments. The characters were all perfect, the feelings were perfect, even the grammar and spelling were perfect, which is a surprisingly rare occurence. This is one of my favorite fanfics. WAY 10/10!
Beautiful, just beautiful. I am so impressed by your work, and am always thrilled to find out you've written something new. I laughed out loud at Dean with "we were on a break!", that was one of my favorites too. I cried when that show ended...anyways, I was very touched by this one shot and am glad that Ginny came to Harry's aid. I always thought that they would have a link in which they could tell if the other needed them.....not some freaky psychic thing, but just know. Their love is so true...they were just meant to be. Wonderfully well written and very enjoyable. 10!
beautiful. simply beautiful. you made me cry.....again. your stories charm me and fill me with unexplainable emotion. i can't get enough of them, i really can't. like madam b, i also felt as if i was right there in the common room. i also saw myself in the point of view of both harry and ginny, experiencing their sadness and guilt. your stories put the readers into the scene and cast spells over the readers hearts. thank you for honoring us with another story of yours and please keep writing.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks. I'm glad you're enjoying them. I have one more missing moment that is with my beta now.
wow this was soo sweet i got a little teary eyed aroud the ending. it was sooooo cute!!!!!!!!! 10/10 write more! p.s. i'm still trying to figure out if this is a one shot cuz if it is write a sequel ~Cried4Dumbledore
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It is a one shot, but I have one more in the works. It's with my beta now.
First of all, kudos for finding a missing H/G moment that 87 other authors haven't already done (or that 87 authors aren't likely to do). We've all seen the versions of the walk in the grounds, the happy hour by the lake, and, yes, even Bill and Fleur's wedding. Once you've read a few of those, it feels like you've read them all. It's a challenge to break out of the mould and find something new, and you've done that. I haven't read a story like this one, yet I don't think I'll find another like it.
You understand the greiving process and it really comes through in this story. Harry's emotions are so true to life, and yet in character. The way he kept picturing the events over and over is something that really happens. His struggle not to cry in front of Ginny was really well portrayed, and I like how she struggled with the same things. I can really see that happening. Perfectly in character for both of them.
I found a small editing nit here: sweet, flowery scent he always now associated with her. The period got left off the end of that sentence. But that's all I noticed.
Really great job!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you said that as that was my whole desire in doing this - to find a moment that WOULDN'T be done 87 other times. I'm delighted that you said that. I love the way JKR made Harry and Ginny so in-tune with each other. I'm glad you enjoyed this piece and "got it".
Ah well, one can always hope you will write another Year 7. If you don't, I wont hold anything against you. But if you do, you can count me in as one of the reviewers! Hmm, *thinks to self* maybe if enough ppl beg her to write one, then she will. . . *looks at other faithful reviewers* Are you guys willing to try? Anyway, maybe sooner or later (hopefully sooner), you will get an idea for another Year 7 and write it. Like I said, one can only hope . . .
Author's Response: Aww, thanks! I have several plot bunnies in my head about other things, but no year 7 at the moment. I feel like I just defeated Voldemort once, I can't think of another way to do it, lol.
Well. Melinda, you've done it again. It is ten o'clock at night, I am in my room bawling. That was so amazing. My face hurts from smiling and crying at the same time. :-) I just can't think of enough adjectives to describe you (though I must say I did try my best in CotD). I actually screamed with glee when i got an email saying that you wrote a new story. Ginny and Harry are just so sweet together. They are so powerful, yet so perfect for each other. Your writing makes me feel like I am in the Gryffindor common room, watching them and being them. I have to work to decipher your story from JKR's, not because they are identical, but because they are both so real that it feels as if I am there. I really hope that you will keep writing. This story was great! I need a tissue, ~B.~
Author's Response: Aww, thanks Madam B. You're always so supportive, it's so nice. How did you get an email that I posted? I wasn't aware there was a way to do that on this site? I'm thrilled that you felt as if you were in the common room, that is exactly what I wanted you to feel, so I am SO pumped.
