Chapter: Chapter 7 Desperate Problems

10/10 One of the stories that helped me through my difficult exam preparation time! Whore crosses, I ask you :) And the HBP quotes that prove H/Hr relationship - clever idea and vigilant reading!

Author's Response: Hi Nic! Thanks for the nice review. Harry has his work cut out for him and he will need Hermione's help. Ron on the other hand worries me. Is he courageous enough to be in Gryffindor? He may develop a dependency on Felix Felicis. What happens next time he ends up in a combat situation and he knows he's not lucky? Ron is possessive of Hermione. Would Ron stand aside and let Hermione help Harry with his quest? Harry's father was betrayed by a friend. Harry's best mentor, Dumbledore, was betrayed by a man he thought was a friend. Is the same in store for Harry? What if the Sorting Hat put Ron into Gryffindor because he didn't have the sense of loyalty and friendship to be put into Hufflepuff? I hope that's not the case.

Chapter: Chapter 3 House Keeping Chores

OK, couple of notes. The story is very good, but some of the details that you are getting wrong are VERY annoying. Hermione's parents are Dentists, so they are Doctors. It should be Dr. Granger. Hermione also does not call people, in general "Mr. so and so" to Harry. It should be Mad-Eye, not Mr. Moody. It was not explained why the Dursley's didn't pick Harry up at the train station. The Locket found in #12 was a little too obvoius, and easily found, and the trip to Godric's Hollow left me a little flat. However, your prose is very good and very readable. The story does not drag, very nice pacing. Overall, good job.

Author's Response: Hi ssjockey, The Dursleys did not pick Harry up because they didn't have to. Harry needs an escort so they might as well transport him rather than tail him. Also the train is leaving Hogsmeade a bit later than usual, this could interrupt the Dursley's dinner preparations. I let Harry have one locket easily. This idea was mentioned in several editorials and I find it plausible. Giving him one easy Horcrux does not make the overall task easy but it does make the story move along a bit. The point is that Harry does not know how to destroy a Horcrux at the end of HBP. Who has the research skills necessary to find out how to do so? The trip to Godric's hollow might be very productive or it might not be useful. Harry's plans at the end of HBP are not very well developed.

I really love this story, it's one of my favorites. Just like the HP books this story has action, suspense, adventure... H/Hr are moving on with their lifes like everyone else does... well, i probably confused you but all that i want to say is that i love the story....

Author's Response: Hi Kopeshi, Thanks for the nice review. I have a lot of fun playing with JKR's characters and the world she has created. I think it's time for a Harry Potter Role Playing Game.

Very interesting. I totally agree w/ you about the hug in HBP.

Author's Response: Hi Cloudybear, Cho cornered Harry under the Mistletoe. Ginny kissed Harry after the Quidditch game. Hermione runs to and hugs Harry. This Potter kid seems to let the girls take the initiative doesn't he?

This story is just way too good! I agree, you must have read the Half Blood Prince a million times!

Author's Response: This story is really just an editorial. It's my way of suggesting a plot direction that book 7 might take in rough form though of course not in exact detail. The thesis is that Harry will need help to recover and destroy the Horcruxes. Secrecy is absolutely essential. Ron and Hermione are his only confidants on this issue. Hermione has skills that make her more likely to be helpful to Harry. How did Dumbledore find out the door in the cave by the sea wanted an offering of blood? He read signs that Harry could not. Who's going to replace Dumbledore as a source of knowledge. In HBP Dumbledore was doing the research. Which one of the three main characters has the best research skills? (It isn't Ron.)

I love this story! I love the little author's notes at the bottom, its obvious you have really researched this. I like that you have put a lot of thought into it, and aren't just barging around saying "They have to be together! They have to!" It is really insightful. I think the story is very realistic, and I am really enjoying your story. There's plenty of action and it is all well written. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Hermione might be better off with Ron. It would be safer, but they'd fight all of the time. I think she would certainly be better off with either Ernie Macmillan or Terry Boot. But she has been devoted to Harry since third year, if not before. Harry has a think for pretty girls that are great Quidditch players. Either Cho or Ginny would be great for him. But he can't seem to keep a relationship with a girl like that going.

OMG I love this story it is so cool. It is so oringinal, and u update so soon. THis deserves a 10

Author's Response: Hi Cheeso! Thanks for the nice review. Chapter 7 is in the queue. I'm not really being very original here. Harry is looking for Horcruxes. Hermione is good at research. Percy works for the ministry. Shunpike is locked up with Malfoy and company. JKR created all of this. I'm just playing with her characters and situations as they stand at the end of HBP.

I swear my vocabulary has been confunded, because the only words i can think of to discribe this story/chapter are 'Flippin SWEET' (I'm a Napoleon Dynamite fan...) Again, i completely agree with Hermione's not-so-subtle flirting with Harry (if its flirting she's doing)

Author's Response: Hi Waddiwasi Chik, Hermione is not exactly a Girls Gone Wild sort. Her flirting is pretty subtle. I'm trying to keep Harry, Ron and Hermione in character in this story. So I felt I could leave it G-PG rated.

1st review! I read this chapter last night, but I guess I just forgot to review. Sorry about that. I hated "Hermione's Helping Hand", but your double meaning makes it a bit more bearable. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Hi Cloudybear! I liked "Hermione's Helping Hand". JKR moved Hermione out of the box a bit here. Hermione is not a legalistic prude! She will break the rules for the guy she loves. In GOF Hermione cries tears of joy when Ron and Harry make up. Hermione knows that Voldemort is out to get Harry and that Harry needs his friend Ron. She was not going to let McLaggen knock Ron off the team because that would have hurt the friendship between Ron and Harry. She did it for Harry.

Chapter: Chapter 1 Bound for London

The story is well done, but I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I read it. Your notes, while appreciated, are a bit like looking at a TV and claiming its a microwave. Again, the story is well written and creative. I do feel like it's a bit out of character. I'm not a Ron/Hermoine shipper, but I am capable of understanding that Ron and Hermoine do like each other. I mean, honestly. I wish that Harry and Luna got together, but they didn't. That's the way things go. Again, sorry, you're a great writer. But writing about a h/h relationship and trying to actually defend is like a good musician joining a boy band and claiming he still rocks.

Author's Response: Hi Adolph, We have some fundamental philosophical differences. I wish you well.

OMG.....i love this is so real...u can imgine it happing in the 7th book.....i love the Author Notes at the end...they make u think a different way this diffently deserves a 10

Author's Response: Hi Cheeso! Thanks for the nice review! JKR will probably pull some surprises on us in book 7 but what could be more surprising than Hermione and Ron living happily ever after? Poor Ron has to struggle so hard to establish his own identity I can't see him being happy with Hermione. She is so bright and talented and bossy, he would always be known as Hermione's husband.

I meant to tell you "great chapter" last night when I read it, but my rents made me go to bed. I figured better late then never. I totally agree with your theories too.

Author's Response: The more I read HBP the more I like it. Hermione loves Harry. Ron is hot for Hermione. Harry doesn't want to ruin good friendships by letting romance slip in. But this thing with Tonks and Tom Riddle's mother of a witch loosing her powers because she gets depressed over unrequitted love worries me. I could see it happening to Hermione or Ginny or Ron.

ooo i love the cliffhanger!!! update soon!!!! and i rili like the notes at the end bout h/hr. ive given up the idea of the two of them in the books, but in my heart they'll live on forever.

Author's Response: Harry has had two girlfriends that were definitely interested in kissing and romance. That's not bad for a 16 year old. They were both great girls! Either Harry/Cho or Harry/Ginny would be a great pair, but frankly Harry didn't treat either girl right. Breaking up with Ginny because he doesn't want her to be in danger is really pretty lame. There's more to it than that.

Chapter: Chapter 4 Secret Keepers

Excellent story so far. So very few of the H/Hr stories keep them in character. When I read things like this it makes me glad I'm delusional.

Author's Response: Hi Beren_Camlost! You are not delusional! The Internet has changed the rules. JKR is trying to write a 7-book series in a super heated environment with thousands of very clever fans analyzing every word and trying to guess what's coming next. The interview was a smoke screen. But don't tell the R/Hr shippers, let them turn off their brains and be happy.

I really like this story! I'm also a fan of your H/Hr insights at the end. There are definitely some anvil-sized H/Hr hints throughout the series!!! Nice job

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm planning on 8 or 9 chapters for this story, it is not going to cover the final battle etc. I have already written enough H/Hr hints from HBP for every chapter, so I just have to get the story done.

i agree that your insite for this chapter is rather like that part in OotP where Hermione is telling Harry that he should have told Cho that he though Hermoine was ugly, but Harry says he doesnt think she's ugly. Hermione was ovbiously fishing for SOMETHING! The more i look around the 'anvil' sized hints, i see more and more H/Hr stuff! who knows... guess i am delusional! i liked how Ron reacted to having to apparate with Lupin.

Author's Response: Did you notice that in POA the book, Hermione follows Harry into a crowd of dementors and almost dies with him, but in POA the movie she stays with an injured Ron. This is a HUGE difference. In HBP Harry refers to the incident and reinforces the idea that the book is the canon, not the movie.

Love the insights! :) I'm glad that you proved I wasn't desperate by changing things in my mind to fit my shipper bias. 10/10

Author's Response: This whole fic is just an editorial comment. It's a call to all H/Hr shippers to wait for book 7! It ain't over til Dolores Umbridge sings.

Chapter: Chapter 4 Secret Keepers

Hey, I just want to say that this is an excellent story. Im really enjoying reading it. Also, I like your little insites you have at the bottom about how Hermione really loves Harry. Now, all though I am a HUGE H/Hr shipper, Im not the kinda shipper who is stubborn enough to grasp at straws, though in this sense you arent completely, your just really looking into the HBP book. I do sorta think that JK will pair Hermione up with Ron. If by some chance she has been throwing us off with those huge hints about R/Hr happening and it really turns out H/Hr, then thats great! But for now Im following the hints JK is giving in the books and interviews. Hopefully youre right and Hermione really DOES love Harry... it does seem that way doesnt it, from your insites. Anyways, again great story. 10/10 for sure.

Author's Response: Although I'm convinced that at the end of HBP Hermione truly loves Harry, the problem with the H/Hr ship is that Harry isn't cooperating. Harry is so noble. he doesn't want to ruin a good friendship by making it romantic. Harry knows Ron is really hot for Hermione. Maybe Harry does love Hermione but was scared by her NDE in the DOM. He might think she would be better off with Ron. And Hermione might start thinking Ron looks better if Harry gets killed.
