dude that sucked

Author's Response: Oh, very mature there. Won't even bother saying half the things that come to mind upon reading such a brilliantly crafted literary analysis.

I love the flow - it lured me into the story and wraped me up inescapably. And I completely agree with your evaluation of HBP - in retrospect, it's just not up to mark.

I've read most of your other fics, and I loved this one just as much! I was hoping for some more fluff in the end, but hey, we can't always have it our way. Even though I know H/Hr will probably never happen in the books, I still like to read fics of it because they are my favorite characters and they would be so cute together. Am I the only one who feels as if Jo read a large amount of fanfic while writing HBP? I think it's really gone too far in many ways...but that doesn't mean I won't stop loving HP!! Now I'll stop rambling. Great story, it's totally realistic and believable! 10/10

Author's Response: Hehe, Jo had a fan fic overdose. =D
But I completely agree with you--I won't stop loving HP because one book wasn't quite my taste. I mean, I've loved all the other books, haven't I? I spent some time reading the comments on sites, after HBP came out, and loads of H/Hr shippers/writers were saying they weren't going to keep writing, and that they hated HP, etc., but I think they were drawing things out of proportion. It's one thing to be upset about the book, but another to stop doing or enjoying something because of it.

Woo! You go! I really really like your idea. I felt the same way. Really! How can Hermione go out with Ron after what he did to her in the last book! Who's the jerk who thinks your delusional?? If that's the case, I'm joining the crazy party! I'm still all for H/Hr! So attention to all: KEEP WRITING H/Hr!!!

I like the story! It was short and sweet. Is there anything being added to the story? I think you should write what Ron and Ginny's reactions are to this story. I'd love to read about that.

Do not give up the ship! Your story is right on target! The way I read HBP is that Hermione still loves Harry. She attacked Ron with birds because he interrupted what could have been an important moment between her and Harry. Even towards the end of the book, Hermione cares more about Harry than she does about Ron. So she cried on Ron's shoulder, big deal. When Harry faces up to the fact that he needs to forgive Hermione for being right about going to the Department of Mysteries he will finally quit flitting around with pretty faces and realize that he needs Hermione. Frankly I think JKR was playing a little game with the kids she invited to the interview.

How sweet. I like simple stories. If H/HR is delusional, then I like being delusional. I like how your story pointed out that Harry merely fancies Ginny, but has a foundation with Hermione. I believe that even though JKR was dropping certain hints in GoF, she completely reversed those in OoTP and that HBP just seems to come from out of nowhere. Anyway, I really enjoyed your story.

I absolutely loved this story! I've wanted to read an H/Hr post-HBP fic, since I actually finished HBP and here it is. It was amazing. I liked how you had Hermione thinking of the distance between her and Harry, and especially how you pointed out that Harry has not told Ginny anything yet and that it's Hermione he keeps running to for help (well, before HBP, anyway).

And don't let other people get you down. If we want to write H/Hr fics, no one can do anything about it. And if that means we're delusional...well, that I guess that's what I am. (Sorry had to get that out)

Great fic. ~10~

I'm not a shipper of any Harry relationships (as I'm a bit old and like to speculate more about the profs.), but I happen to like this story. It's completely believable because there has been plenty of tension between H/Hr throughout the HP series. Although JKR has told us this ship has sunk, I could definitely see both Harry and Hermione changing their minds, esp., as you so rightly point out (and I'd totally forgotten), it isn't Ginny Harry's been running to for the last 6 years. Cheers to you for standing by your ship!
