Author's Response: Well, Hermione is muggle born, and it is not exactly a secret about the myth of the green M&Ms. At least it isn't much of a secret in the USA. I found out that, in England at least, this is a bit less known little urban legend. Seems, from my friends over seas, that M&Ms are not quite as popular there as they are here.
