Chapter: In the thick of it

I liked the scene at Privet Drive, but I wish it had lasted longer and had some more dialog with the Dursleys! I don't know why Ginny behaved so stupidly, however. I know she was upset, but that seemed extreme. How come Harry didn't just Apparate them out again though?

Author's Response: Ginny wasn't really thinking - it may seem extreme, but she was still in shock and acted on instinct rather than reason. I didn't want them to spend too long at the Dursleys' - I didn't want to drag it out too much. As I have said in a previous review, there was an Anti-Apparition guard on the Burrow. Thanks for the review!

Author's Response: I have now amended the chapter with more clear indication of the Anti-Apparition thing. Thanks for pointing it out.

Oh, goody! I'm first! What a good chapter....and having them go to Privet Drive! he he. So, how come Harry didn't think to apparate out of there when Bela showed up??? (I know, plot - but still!) Keep up the good work and update quickly!

Author's Response: The Weasley house has a non-Apparition guard on it. I know I didn't specify this, but that is why they had to run out of it before they could Apparate before. Thanks for the review!

Waiting for these chapters is almost as bad as waiting for the next book to come out. Awesome story! Keep it up.

Hooray for the update! What about Ron though? Harry wouldn't have just saved the girls without Ron. How awful about the Burrow, sniff. I wanted to strangle Ginny, but her response was very human. The idea of Harry wanting to shout "I did it" was so cute and recognizable. So, are they in his room in Grimmauld Place or at Privet Drive?

Author's Response: Exactly - she wasn't exactly thinking straight at the time. I'm not telling you where they are! You have to wait for the update! Thank you so much for the brilliant review - it's people like you that help the most. xxx hattiepotter xxx

This chapter is very interesting. But I am curious as to what happen to Ron. It is not like Harry character to think of the girls and forget about his best friend. Oh well I guess I will have to stay tune.

Author's Response: Well I think I need to make it a bit more obvious, but I think I said that Ron and Hermione were also holding hands. You're right - Harry wouldn't have left Ron behind. But you still need to stay in tune! xxx

jeez, I was so shocked that dean died, but i never really liked him much. Good chapter, I like how harry is able to keep everyone going! Alas, school. I had like no time to myself over the past week with sports and stuff. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Yeah - school smells. I had loads of time over the summer to type up new chapters, now I have none! I will try though - I'm not giving up on this story now.

I'm glad you killed off one of the major supporting characters. I'm sad that it happened, but it needed to. It gives the story more credibility. You're doing a great job on it, though. I'm enjoying it very much. Hope you're able to update again soon!

Author's Response: I know - it just happened but it felt kind of right. Glad you're enjoying it!

Well, the war is certainly hitting closer to home now, isn't it? Sad, but very realistic with the way you have them all snippng at one another, as well.

Author's Response: It certainly is. Thanks for the comments - they're all useful!
