Chapter: My Shining Hour

Ooh, this was hilarious. I had to close the door so that my laughter wouldn't wake up my nephew. One of Snape's better days... Dumbledore promising not to meddle - yeah right :P Lockhart... Snape in a plumed hat... Cornish pixies... Ooh, I loved that place when Snape complimented the colour of her hair in candlelight, and Lockhart answered. :D

Chapter: The Object of My Affection?

Well, this chapter kept me sniggering almost the whole time. :P Clancy's translation, Dumbledore limping the wrong leg.. Snape throwing eels at her... really, there is nothing more intimidating than throwing eels at people.. :P

I loved that passage of Snape describing Dumbledore - "With Dumbledore, one never supposes or assumes. He is a man of many mysteries, which he uses to his advantage. He has a peculiar way of getting people to do exactly what he wants them to do by convincing them it was their own idea in the first place."

And then my very, very, very favourite quote - "She turned on an eel..."

Chapter: A Note of Disappointment

Ooh, how I love to read about Snape being snarky like that. :P And that conversation he had with Flitwick - superb! :D

Chapter: Sorting Hat, White Beard, And Tales

Hehe. Sneaky scheming Dumbledore.

What I liked most in this chapter were actually not words, but the absence of them - the pause when Clancy asked Dumbledore what Severus was like. I loved that pause. :P

Chapter: How Long Has This Been Going On?

Hehe. Lockhart was wonderful. :D

I suppose it was quite a shock for Clancy to find a whole new world of magic. Of course, I'm sure it's nothing compared to the surprise she will be getting when she finds out who that "hideous, hook-nosed man dressed in black robes" really is. :P

Chapter: Do You Believe In Magic?

Hihi. This was great. I found Hilly's letter most amusing. Especially - "Are you sitting down? Good. There's no point in beating about the bush any longer, so here it is: I am a witch, or rather I WAS a witch. Now that I'm dead, I don't really know what I am, but as soon as I find out, you'll be the first to hear." :P

And Clancy's ramblings, those were great, too. My favourites from that part were "the great Miss Brightman, whom everyone considers a better singer and teacher than I -- because she is, dammit!" and "On a scale of 1-10, a 7 at best; after a complete beauty makeover, 7.1"

I really like Hilly and Clancy, they feel like wonderful characters and wonderful people. :)

Chapter: Prologue: Witch In Exile

Great beginning - can't wait to read more. That's what I thought after reading the disclaimer. :P Oh, but the chapter was wonderful as well. :D I loved how the Sorting Hat announced "Hufflepuff! Most definitely Hufflepuff!" and how Clancy got her name from combining the names of her parents. ;)

Favourite quote: "Given Aunt Hilly's gift for hyperbole, Clancy imagined Severus Snape to be the most handsome, kind, intelligent boy ever to grace the earth." :P

Chapter: A Fine Romance!

Just a quick note to say how much I've been enjoying this story! Also to commend you for being so clever with the little things like Lupin's referring to James as a stag. I loved it! As well as Sirius' cameo I just about fell out of my chir with glee from that moment!!! You are brilliant and I hope you keep writing these wonderful fics. ~Cheers Suzanne

Chapter: I'll String Along With You

Wow! This is a very long--but thoroughly engaging and excellently-written story.

I'm not a fan of Snape. I really, really, really don't like him. However, while many of Snape's actions in this story are, well, highly improbable, you managed, for the most part, to keep him in character while making him almost tolerable (on occasion, at least).

Also, though I don't believe that a Muggle could ever be as involved in the wizarding world as your Ms. Norgard is, Clancy is a truly astounding character and a perfect match for Severus Snape. She can really keep him on his toes...I enjoyed the many (lengthy) exchanges of biting insults between the two.

Nice job!

Chapter: My Shining Hour

"And, no, I do not intend to don a plumed hat. As for that popinjay," he muttered, casting a withering glance at Lockhart, "a plumed hat may very well be a staple of his wardrobe."

Brilliant! Absolutely hilarious!

Chapter: I'll String Along With You

Brilliant. Yes, as it is (aptly) named, the whole thing is highly improbably, but it's hillarious! And it has quite a good story as well, you pay attention to the details. Like anagrams...

Author's Response: Thank you. I put a lot of thought into the title. :-)

Chapter: I'll String Along With You

Okay, so I was searching for stories for a challenge, and I found this one, and I realized that it was the one I started a few weeks ago and never finished. So I finished it, and it was brilliant! Snape is one of my favourite characters and I must say that I love the way you portrayed him. Are you going to write a sequel? Anyway, I'll look for more from you.

Author's Response: No, no sequel. I'm no longer writing fanfiction. Glad you liked the story. Thanks for letting me know!

Chapter: I'll String Along With You

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! This story was very funny, very touching, and very unique. Clancy was such a neat character, and a much better match for Snape than Hermione!!!:) This pairing is especially refreshing after the countless predictable, boring romances I read in fanfiction. I especially LOVED your anagrams!!! Those were really cool! Keep on writing!!!!!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, romance is only interesting if it's unpredictable. :-)

Chapter: I'll String Along With You

This was one of the best fics I've EVER read. It was intriguing and absolutely wonderful to read. I really wish I could have the hits of highly improbable, but I don't give out my address. Thanks for writing this wonderful fic. I enjoyed reading it, and I hope that you enjoyed writing it (which it sounds like you did). I look forward to reading more of your fics if you ever write anymore and publish them here. Fleury

Author's Response: Thank you very much. Yes, I'll always have happy memories of the time I spent writing this story.

Chapter: I'll String Along With You

Well, I have to say this is one of a very few believable Snape romances I have read. I enjoyed it a great deal. The work you obviously did to correlate your story with the six canon books is also impressive. Great story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and took the time to let me know.

Chapter: A Fine Romance!

What is Hogmanay? Yay you quoted from a movie I've actually seen! And a really good one too. How sweet of Severus to make the potion for Eloise.

Author's Response: Hogmanay is the Scottish celebration of New Year's Eve. Thanks for reviewing!
