I think this is an excellent study of P.P. I like how you don't sugarcoat it to make us pity Peter (I find him despicable and don't think any pathos-laden prose could inspire me otherwise, anyway). Also, I thought it was interesting how Peter refers to James in his mind as "Potter"-- he tries to distance himself from memories of friendship? That was my take, anyway... Love your writing, as always! :)

I really love Peter fics -- for some reason his character just strikes me, especially when fan fic writers try to explain his reasoning. Great work! :D

well, it is interesting to get inside wormtail's head for a while, even tho i perish the thought of staying there for long. so...peter in luv w/ lily? that makes all 4 marauders were in luv w/ lily in som fanfic or another. james is in luv w/ lily in canon, there r numerous fics where sirius is chasing after lily (usually on a dare from james or something like that), remus is apparently also in luv w/ lily since the 3rd movie (even in my fanfic), and now u've added one for peter. anyway, good job!
Author's Response: yeah it just makes sense to me...especially since he's the most unlikely to ever get the proverbial girl and all...it would explain a lot about his bitterness towards james, IMO. i'm glad you liked it :)

I love the way you describe this from Peter's perspective--his justification for the betrayal to suit his own needs for power within Voldemort's ranks. That is very insightful. I started to read the poem at the beginning as was really impressed with your writing--ha ha--till I got to the end and realized I should credit Shakespeare! Sad, that through it all, be blamed James. Indeed, what a traitor.

I like the way you portrayed Peter... very realistic and enjoyable to read-- in sort of a dark way. His feelings are ones that everyone can identify with, to some degree, which makes him seem like a real scum-bag. Nice job.
