Things Not To Be Thought About Hermione, Especially When She’s Right Bloody There

I've told you many times how much I love this, and it is still true. I look for it when I read this chapter! It's just so cute, clever, and so darn Oliver that I can't help but laugh.

Have I told you before how much I adore your characterisation of Hermione and Oliver in this fic? If not, I should have. Oliver is such an underdeveloped character in the books, nothing more than a Quidditch-obsessed freak, but you've turned him into a real person - and a damn handsome, intriguing and sexy hero!

And Hermione is wonderful. She's still clever, but I love how, despite her wonderful understanding of all Ron and Harry's relationship mishaps, she's so uncertain about her own feelings and confused about what things mean. It's wonderful to see her in that light. She's less a Know-It-All and more a person than I've ever seen her and it's beautiful. You've taken the hidden deapths of Hermione that have only been hinted at in the books and brought them to the forefront in such a way that she is still Hermione, but a softer, more lovable Hermione. Gorgeous.

Your dialogue is believable, not easy when you're writing in an accent (you should see the trouble I'm having with Viktor). Your characters truly jump off the page and your story has strayed from just a 'Marriage Law' fic into a clever mystery, from which the reader is left to wonder what will happen next - not just to Hermione, but to the community as a whole. Brilliantly done.

I adore this story, and I have to give it credit for being my inspiration for one of my stories. You're wonderful dear, and so is your story.

~Love, Kasey

Author's Response: Every time I begin to get distracted during the writing process, every time I start to feel discouraged and think about possibly shelving this, every time I begin to feel like I'm struggling to hold the grains of the plot in my fist I come back to read this review. You've kept me writing when I felt overwhelmed with all I had to do with RL, you kept me writing when I couldn't find a creative thought with both hands and a map, and you kept me writing when I could no longer see the merit it what I had started. This is as much your accomplishment as mine, and I love you for it.

Wicked, wicked writer!!!!

Excellent ending point - though, I've told you that before. This was such a project for you, and I love how you kept your cool and grace through the whole thing. It's come out wonderfully, and I know it gets even better!

Author's Response: *huggles* Having you're ear to discuss to , your shoulder to lean on, and your patience to buffer mine went a long way to giving me cool grace under pressure ;-)

Yay!! I'm fairly new to your story, but I've fallen in love. I read all of it in one day up until the last chapter - yeah, the uber-cliffhanger. Yay for updates, good writing, and awesome character interactions!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! It is a lot all in one sitting - that's awesome that I kept you that involved to the very last chapter :-) ~ Ny

aww gotta love that goofy grin! I absolutly love the way you have this shy awkwardness between them. It's sweet... but there is also a tension that is hard to forget.. it makes it so..real. No relationship is perfect and I think you have done a wonderful job at showing the finer points of this. Keep up the good work! You've just gained a Hermione/Oliver shipper....**grins**

Author's Response: Thank you! I've enjoyed writing their interaction, and it's wonderful to hear that it's coming across to my readers the way I see it in my head. ~Ny

Well you were wrong. You DO deserve all that praise. This story continues to get me excited. I loved this chapter so much. Once again, I must repeat that you are exceptionally talented. I'm very proud that you got this chapter out so quickly. Congratulations are in order for your wedding. Best of luck and keep up the amazing work.

Author's Response: *blushes* Thank you so much - it means a lot to hear that you find the story so well written, and to be given so much credit for talent :-) I realize that my updates have continued to be somewhat erratic, but I was married in December (and thank you so much for your congratulations and good wishes!) so I'm sure my update schedule will improve dramatically!

WHAT?????? HE LOST???? I read that whole story just to read at the end the HE LOST???? NO NO NO!!!! I'm pressing you to change the ending!!!!! I'm wondering if you like movies like Tristan and Isolde or something like that....Well, I'm just gonna pretend in my mind that he wins, and gets Hermione in the end...but still....i would like to read this story w/o crying my eyes out and screaming....good dialogue though. And way to develop the Wood's relationship with Hermione..even though they weren't gonna have a future one...please please please change it!!!

Author's Response: *lol* Glad to see I've got you emotionally involved... I won't say want's happening next, but I haven't finished the story here - don't worry, it won't end here. I don't think you'll mind the ending when I finally do get there. (around chapter 15). Thank you - I'm glad you liked the dialogue so far, and the development of Oliver and Hermione's relationship. I'll have chapter seven up soon, hope you find that resolves things for you :-) Thanks for reading!

Chapter: The Importance of Being Oliver

i like the plot...except i'm a little confused one Wood, is supposed to be like supervising this arrangement? right? he put goyle's and hermoine's name on the contract right?

Author's Response: Actually no - Oliver was drunk when he filled out his contract, and had to think back *very* carefully to make sure he didn't acidentally fill in Goyle's name instead, but Goyle filled his contract on his own. Oliver's owl was drunk (courtasy of George) so Goyle's contract actualy reached the Minsitry first, therefore, he get's 'first dibs' on Hermione. Oliver is supposed to 'lead by example', by Contracting a witch of his own.
