Awww... short & simpled, but poignant :( Hadn't thought of James preparing to die & expecting Lily to live. And it's heartbreaking how his thoughts here are so sad, yet what actually happens is a hundred times worse. Very well written though, good job.
That's so beautiful!! =cry= Great job!
I think i will write a story if just jamesies die. Which will be titled 'If just james dies' Look for it in the poetry.
so sad and heartbreaking.
i thing youve captured the scene perfectly, you can practically taste the tension and stress that james is going through.
once again amazing
My god. I think I'm going to cry ... That was just ... brilliant.
Author's Response: This is possibly the most flattered I have ever felt . . . Thank you for the review. Cheers!
I agree with Dan D Lion------- Lily would never get over James. This is a little like a prequel to one of mine-- entitled The Night the World Ended. Starts out with Sirius leaving Godrics Hollow... Enough about me. This was good, slightly--however much I hate saying this--cheesey. *grimace* Alright, I said it. Could use some work, but pretty good. 8/10
Heh, cute disclaimer… :) Interesting on how James didn’t want Sirius to use nicknames and then he goes and slips, calling Sirius Padfoot. Tsk tsk… James. And after that serious part, James has to worry about Quidditch. *shakes head* Sirius smiled sadly. “Don’t worry, James,” he answered seriously. “I promise I will.” I know that that line is sad (and it is) but I am sorry. I couldn’t help but snicker. It’s that joke that everyone says, Sirius-Serious. Sheesh… It’s so corny but it gets me every time. Even at the bad times. Well, this is a good story (is this a one shot?). Carry on. Dani Oh, I have one more thing to say. Listen up. ------- Lily would not move on over James------ *mutters* how dare you say such a thing.
Author's Response: Yes, it is a one shot, and thanks for the review. Concerning Lily, I suppose it was a matter of opinion, but what I (and James) meant was that she would've had a son to raise, and she's not going to grieve deeply forever, not that she would likely date and fall in love again. After all, love and life are too different things. *shrugs* Like I said, thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
