Chapter: Hermione's Scrapbook

Wow, this is amazing. I was a little meh when I saw that it was about Mundugus (I figured the whole thing would be about Hermione's secret obsession with him or something along those lines), but was definitely surprised when it went on to other characters. Nice use of Ginny in the middle to bring us back to reality again for a moment, and then tears were in my eyes at Harry and Ron. I hope somebody, somewhere, remembers me as the guy how offers to buy a sweet.

This is an incredible analysis of the characters. The descriptions you gave for Ron gave me goosebumps, especially the 'unknown soldier' reference. And I agree with you, Ron and Harry are the everyday heros, because they act from their hearts.

Charismatic and beautiful. I've heard quite a lot about this fiction, but have thus far avoided it for some unknown reason.

For some reason, I was surprised to see that you opted out of shipping. I'd always felt like Hermione, Ron and Harry shared such adversity and despair, that it goes beyond 'god your hawt'. It's a mutual dependancy and kinship that that speaks more to some shared ancient knowledge that knows they need each other to survive. I love the way you worded it. Despite your feelings on certain characters, I think you've created a story we can (mostly) all agree with.

As always, the quotes you choose are poignant and fit the story perfectly. I can see why everyone gravitates toward the rest of your stories after reading this. It is a jewel on MnFF.

Oh my freaking Godric! I seriously am crying right now. I agree with everyone ... it's amazing. No more said. It has that certain quality hidden deep within it that's a tear-jerker no matter how often you read it. Honestly, I never gave it a second glance before, but when I finally read it now, it means so much to me. I feel the same way about Ron and Harry. It's not even really a romance, trying to make Ron or Harry mean more to Hermione. They're just there for her, and that's all that matters. I love this. Write more.

How do you manage to pack so many emotions into one short little one-shot? This is the third story of yours Iíve read in a row, and I feel like I should be floating or something--too much good characterizations and well written friendship. Youíre making me happy against my will here! Iím giving up trying to say something coherent, so youíll have to deal with this instead.

Every once in a while, I read something that I have to read again, and again, and again. I first read this story back when it was featured, and it's now on my favorites list so that I can read it whenever I want. Your writing has a poetic quality to it, and I loved the imagery that went with it. Continue writing. It doesn't matter what you write, as long as you keep writing

I read this story a long time ago back when it was the featured story. It touched me. This is now the third time I've read it and I cry everytime. You are truly a gifted writer. My favorite quote was "I am hurt but I am not slain! I will lay me down and bleed awhile; then rise and fight again." That has become my new favorite quote of all time because I can relate to it. Thank you for this story.

Not exactly my kind of story, but touching all the same. I like haw you used the scrapbook to extract Hermione's feelings from her. The second person (if there such a thing?) made the story a little confusing, a little different, and a little more interesting to read. I liked it; wow that story really got to me.....(in a good way...)

Very touching! *rubs the goosebumps on her arms* Beautifully written. The quotes were all very nice- one thing though, I think that the quote of "Whoever saves one life, saves a world"(did I get that right?), is more properly translated as: "Whoever saves one SOUL, it is as if he saved an entire world."

Author's Response: Couldn't tell you, as I've never read the Talmud. I lifted the quote directly from the film Schindler's List, so you're probably right.
