I stumbled upon this and the prequel ancient magic last week and I have been reading after the kids are in bed each night....well into the night. Anyway I loved both stories and would love to see another sequel. As a mom who loves HP and HP fanfiction it is such a delight to see and read a story written by another mom with such a crazy hobby as you call it. Well done....brilliant!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have met many wonderful moms through this very crazy hobby. It's nice to know I'm in such good company! I'm glad you enjoyed reading these!
Way too funny. I love it, bird and all!!
Author's Response: Thank you! :)
That was SUCH a good story! I LUUUUURVED it! the plot line had me screaming, laughing, oh-la-la-ing, and crying at times! You are an AMAZING writer, and I am so glad I decided to read Ancient Magic and Blood of the Heart. I think I'm gonna go read your other stories now...
YOUR ROCK MY CHEAP-WALMART BRAND SOCKS RIGHT OFF!
Author's Response: lol - thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them. And I hope you don't lose your socks!
YES! LUCIUS MALFOY IS AN ARROGANT BASTARD WHO GOT WHAT HE DESERVED!
Author's Response: LOL! Yes, he did! Glad you approve!
OMG OMG OMG OMG! GAH! WHATS GONNA HAPPEN?!?!?!?!?! I AM SO GLAD I DONT HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: lol - there is something to be said for reading a completed story, eh? :)
If a Mediator and her bond never meet, there really is no change in their lives. However, when a Mediator meets her bond and feels that pull, she will feel the yearning for the rest of her life. Should she choose not to pursue the bond, then she can make the conscious decision to shut that part of her life up, although, I can remember my mother saying that it’s practically impossible to do. In fact, it almost is better to simply go through with the bond than to have to live life with a sense that something is always missing, as if you are not complete. That feeling, along with knowing exactly what is missing, can drive a Mediator mad. It makes for a very sad, miserable life.”
sorry if i'm a bit confused, but doesn't that mean that like, Ginny loves Haryy becasue of her bond...
Author's Response: Hmm...I apologize, but it's been many moons since I wrote this so my brain is a little foggy on all the specific details I mapped out originally. No, I never meant that Ginny loved Harry because of the bond, however, I can see where you're coming from. I just took my idea of canon where imo Ginny felt drawn to Harry from the moment she saw him to be that there was something there. Since it started out a girlish crush, I always thought love was there, and the bond made it stronger. Very good question!
Quite possibly my favourite fic on this entire site.
There were very few things that I could criticise about it, but here goes:
1. One of my pet peeves, for inexplicable reasons, is when the word "lose" is spelt "loose". I noticed that a few times throughout the story.
2. I loved the way you worked with the characters, and after reading 'Ancient Magic' I can see where you are coming from with many of them. However, as much as I love Harry and Ginny (as you can tell by my immature screen name :)) I think, with a bit of tweaking on the plot, this would have worked really well as a James/Lily fic. I found myself thinking sometimes that Harry was slightly out of character, and that he is more like what I imagine James to have been like - a personal opinion, of course.
3. I'd love to see more :) :) :)
Author's Response: lol - you aren't the only person to point out my use of lose and loose. I shoudl probably go back and change those someday, eh? In hindsight, yes, there are parts of this story that make me cringe when it comes to characterization making me ask myself what was I thinking?! That's a perk of time, I suppose, being able to step back and look at it with fresh eyes. That's the beauty of fanfic, though. It gives us a space that allows us to make the mistakes and learn from them. I'm just grateful for readers such as yourself who put up with the bumps and hic-cups and then leave lovely reviews. Thank you!
OMG I must tell you I just finished reading your story and I LOVED it!! Thanks so much for writing it and sharing it.
Author's Response: Thank you for reading it! Glad you enjoyed it.
I love Bill!
Or rather, the way you write him.
Author's Response: I love Bill, too! Thank you!
Erm, Harry, out on a run?
Apart from that, nice chapter :) I want to know what's up...
Author's Response: lol - well, at the time it made sense. Looking back, there are many things I'd do differently if I were to write this again. Live and learn. :)
Wow. Thats about all I can say. haha I started reading your story "Ancient Magic" yesterday and read until I finished this story. I was totally engrossed. I stayed up until 4 yesterday reading it and then when I got back on the computer, started reading until I finished. Thank you very much for your story.
You said that you might consider a continuation at some later time. I was wondering if you were still considering that. It would be wonderful.
On a side note, I was listening to the 1812 Overture (I know I'm cool) while reading this and the triumphant part with cannons and stuff started at the end when Harry asked Ginny to marry him. I thought that was fitting. haha
Thank you again for the wonderful story.
Author's Response: lol!!! That's quite the soundtrack! I'm sorry for the loss of sleep but I have to admit, I always take that as the highest form of compliment. :) I'm sorry, but I don't have any thoughts on contiuing at this time. Thank you!
what a ahmazing begining. U are a great writer!!!
Author's Response: Thank you very much!
Wow. That was amazing! Your story is so well rounded. Overall I give you ten/ten! Characters were great and everything seemed very well though out. I was pulled in. It was magnificent! I went to bed late at night with my mind wondering where Anna is and my eyes telling me to sleep. Great original characters, too, by the way. It was so original. It's believable to the extent of Harry Potter. You put in great ideas and it was so developed. This was definately NOT a typical Harry/Ginny story. I loved your Blood Bond idea and everything flowed very well. The battles were done very well and I liked your original spells. I really think that you could carry this on to do something with the summer. You've left a lot of room with Anna and Nathan's baby, Harry and Ginny's internships and engagment, and Ron's Chudley Cannons try-out. Even though this is finished its going on my favorites along wth Ancient Magic because that was simply fabulous! 10/10!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it - I had fun writing it. I think the greatest compliment is the loss of sleep! :)
You need to make this a movie. It would so rock! Get the same actors and do it the same way you wrote it! It's fabtabulous!
Author's Response: lol - thank you! No one has ever suggested that before. I'm flattered!
I think this story is very good. you should think of writing another story to go with this one also. a part three. I think you could do it...
Author's Response: Thank you! As of right now, I have no plans for a third, but reviews like yours certainly make me think hmm... :)
This story is an absolute wonder. I've never read anything with such heartfelt emotion, there were definetly times I wanted to cry as the love you portrayed between Harry and Ginny truly touched me.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I always pictured their relationship as something special. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
I have just finished reading both stories and they were both brilliant. Definitely one ofmy favourites so far....I really hope you consider writing a thrid part as I would love to see how everyone gets on with their lives and especially see if Ron makes it at the Canons. Great stuff
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Of course, I've always believed Ron would make the Canons. He'd have to work his way up to being a starter, but he'd make it. :)
one word: FABULOUS!
PLEASE tell me you are going to write a third one!!!! AHH! I really hope so. It's been a year.....PLEASE?!??!!!!??!?!?!!?
Author's Response: Oh man. Well, I'll be honest, not at the moment. I spent some time having fun playing Neville in a rpg and then am in the middle of taking a writing class so fanfic has been put on the back burner. But who knows? Come this summer, I might have to give it another go. Just don't hold your breath, okay? :) I'm thrilled you loved the story!
That was one of the best fan fictions i've ever read!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I had fun writing it. Glad you enjoyed reading it!
wow that was... is the best fan fition i have ever read!!!!!!!! loved great way to end well done
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
