When I saw the summary, I laughed maniacally; when I read the story, I cracked up even more.
Hysterical... just what I needed on a dreary day!
I wish that this had actually happened! Nice to see the toad get what she deserved.
Ha Ha Hilarious!! good job
Ha Ha Hilarious!! good job
that was so funny! I love it!
this is a very good story with a suprizing plot. i like it. Did you hapen to get the name Hortense from the book seirese Gardians of Ga' Hoole? Just wondering. its an unusual name and if not from those books i gess you got it from were ever Kathryn Lasky got it....
anyways i love the story. it will be added to my favorites!!
I remember reading this last summer and really enjoying it. I love any story written from a cat's POV because they make for light entertainment, whilst being very intelligent animals. You're portrayal of Mrs. Norris is wonderful! Filch/Unbridge make for an interesting pairing - I enjoyed their teamwork in Ootp, and the idea of Filch being besotted by her is hilarious. I did find the ending rather malicious, though, in some ways... made me feel a bit eerie. But then again, Mrs. Norris isn't a very nice cat! Good job!
Author's Response: Hee, I fully admit to having a sick sense of humour at times, but come on. It's Umbridge, and it's poetic justice! But then you're talking to someone who came up with killing Rita Skeeter with a bug zapper, too... Take that for what you will.
First off, you wrote: One of them cake to a stop, when I believe it should be: One of them came to a stop. Poor Mrs. Norris. Wait. Did I just say that? Anyway, great story and very unique. I never would have thought about that. Where did you get the idea for this? 10/10.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing and pointing out the typo. I'll fix it. To be quite honest, I can't really remember where I got the idea for this. I think I might have been joking around with some friends about Filch and Umbridge when I came up with the idea.
Hehe me likes... Funny and ironic, very well written too. I almost felt sorry for Unbridge in the end though :S I love the idea of Mrs Norris' jealously though. One nit-pick though, You wrote Delores when in fact her name is Dolores... loved the Delly bit though hehe! *~*WelcomeToParadise*~*
Author's Response: Thanks for the heads-up. I've fixed it.
Loved it! Great way for Umbrige to go.
I've always wanted to read a fic where Umbridge gets offed. Brilliant job!
Different, very different. Definately never read anything like that before. Very goog. Perfect endinf for Umbridge. But doesn't the word "Delly" just make you want o throw up?!?
"But doesn't the word "Delly" just make you want o throw up?!?"
Yep, that was the whole point! Thanks for reviewing.
Very nice. I thought that this was the best way for Umbridge to die. We've all wanted it, and to have a Cat swipe you over the head until your too exhausted to fight back is hilarious. It's also nice to see that all three of them get what they deserve. Umbridge dies, Norris gets sick, and Filch loses his g/f and is worried about his cat. Bad days for everyone :)
Certainly original, I loved it!!! You have more patients than I do, writing about Umbridge (just the thought of her makes me want to throw up)! Great job!!! 10! By the way, what was with the pick fur balls?
Author's Response: The idea was that Mrs Norris ate Umbridge (in toad form), and Umbridge seemed to favour pink. Maybe the fuzzy pink cardigan didn't go down. ;-)
I agree with Grainne, it's extremely original and an original point of view, and for this you get a 10. Also, this really has nothing to do with your story but I just realized since I was reminded of Umbridge, that she and Hermione have the same middle name O.O. Anyway back on topic - great fic =D. You should write another fanfiction, or more.
This is the most original point of view I have ever read in HP fanfic. I first noticed your story because it was just above mine on the humor page, but your summary hooked me, involving as it did a love triangle amongst 3 unpopular minor characters. Splendidly done, and good for Mrs. Norris! [one itty bitty thing--your note to your mod got left at the top of the story, if you want to go in and delete it] Thanks for the laughs!
Author's Response: Thanks for the heads-up (and the review). All fixed now!
I like this story. Even though it's not laugh-out-loud funny, it is ironic. I also think it's well written, and the topic choice is ingenious. It would have been nice, however, if it had been longer.
