I love it. That was brilliant. That was so sweet...and I loved the Pumkin Pie thing--that stuff really does taste nasty.

Anyway, that was really brilliant.

This was beautiful! I loved it! You have a wonderful way with words, the characters are perfect, and you brought Harry and Ginny together in such a romantic way! Great job! ~Gina

this story was really good! i can tell you are a strong believer of H/G, almost all of your fics are about them. I started reading your fics because one of my favorite authors had you as their favorite author, so I took a peek.... Anyway, it was a very good fic, 10/10

I really love stories like this one. The speed at which it flows is perfect, there are lots of small details and descriptions that really make this more enjoyable to read (like Mrs. Weasley using her wand to wash dishesórandom example). I particularly liked all the Christmas decorations. Watch Mum; sheís funny. She pretends to let you think itís your decision on where things should go, but she follows behind you, putting everything in its proper place. I loved this line; it made me giggle. The whole reference to pumpkin pie was great. It was subtle, so it didnít mess up the story, but you can still see the little hidden message in it.

I actually donít really like romance stories all that much (Iím way too picky), but I enjoyed this. Everyone is very well in character, so the romance actually works. Also, nothing seems like itís being forced (the romance, that is). Itís all very natural.

For no apparent reason, I really like Mr. Rudolph. He makes me smile. Ginnyís early gift to Harry was sweet. Also, I loved the wishing tree, because itís foreshadowing, at it made me curious whenever I was reading the story. I wanted to know what Harry had wished for.

This little one-shot really makes you love the Weasleys and how they treat Harry like family. She said that if he didnít come to the Burrow, the entire Weasley clan would be arriving at Hogwarts to spend the holiday there with him. I smiled at that. Ginnyís gift also adds into that. Honestly, I just love the Weasleyís all together in this.

Before I leave, I just wanted to mention one more line: He amused himself with thoughts of Snape being forced to parade as Harry Potter at the Hogwarts Christmas Feast. This made me laugh really hard, but I also like how you sort of did a little brief explaining about Harryís protection without making a huge deal of it. There are a lot of things like that in this ficósmall things that are big in reality, but would be boring to read about if you carried it on for a long time.

A lot of things that would happen in a cannon book are mentioned in this too, and Iím grateful for that. An example would be Ginny complaining that she didnít get to hex Malfoy. You pretty much keep us remembering that this is still in the world of Harry Potter, and not just a random one-shot that came from nowhere. All in all, wonderful job. I really enjoyed this!

read it again today because i thought i'd never read it and then i looked at the reviews and found out i'd made one. this is a really sweet fic. even though it's a one-shot it would be awesome to have 1 more chapter with ron and hermione, with the sirius ornament, and with everyone finding out about ginny and harry. lol. happy writing! Whee! Ashwinder sent me over here, and I'm glad she did! The whole Pumpkin Pie reference was completely lost on me... All I could think was how much I LOVE Pumpkin Pie and why couldn't at least one of these Brits see how tasty it was? And then I read your note at the bottom... Anyway, this was a really sweet little story. I loved how you worked with all the canon info we have and with what hints we have for book six. I can accept the occasional canon/fanon error, but it was nice to not find anything amiss! Ginny and Harry are delighfully In Character and bumbling ;) I also really liked Dumbledore's method of getting Harry out of the castle. The bit with the Polyjuice Potion was quite well done! I personally didn't miss Percy in this (though as a character, I like writing his redemption) what I did miss was seeing Bill and Fleur at the holiday feast. Probably a bit much for a one shot, but I did want to see them. I also would have liked to see Fred and George witness the mistletoe kiss, but I'm cruel like that ;) 'Twas a great little fic! I enjoyed it quite a bit!

The whole pumpkin pie thing made me laugh out loud! I don't know if anyone's told you but a lot of H/G shippers are calling their ship chocolate now, and since you had them gorge on chocolate instead, it was all the more appropriate.

OK, I'm supposed to be doing a serious review here, and I'm having trouble because it's been a long, long time since I've found some good old-fashioned fluff that didn't want to make me click the back button a few paragraphs in. Let me just say thank you for not ignoring the whole Dean situation. I've seen too many H/G fics that like to pretend it doesn't even exist. I'm glad you included it and gave a plausible scenario that led to H/G happening.

I liked how you worked in some of the hints we've had on book 6, as well as the fannish speculation. What you did with Spinner's End was a great idea! I think the only thing I missed in this was a mention of Percy. I realise you were going for something warm-hearted for the holidays, and that thoughts of Percy's estrangement from the family would be a downer, especially on top of the mentions of Sirius, but a sentence in passing wouldn't have been completely amiss. That's a small criticism, though. I really enjoyed the story. I've missed fic like this.

Author's Response: Holy Smokes, Batman! I feel like such a fangirl, but I can't believe that YOU are reviewing ME! My palms are sweating. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I was really in the mood for something warm this past holiday season, since my other fic is an angstfest. Of the two oneshots, I actually prefer the other, but I'm honored that you liked this one. Thanks! You're right, I should have mentioned Percy, but I thought the death of Sirius was enough angst for a oneshot.

I have one thing to say. I hate pumpkin pies. Quoting myself..."Ron and Hermione like each other. GET OVER IT!" Thanks for the review on my story. You can bet there will be no pumpkin pies! (They really are gross.) The story was great. I swear I will never make fun of Mr. Rudolph. I love Mrs. Weasley and fishing handbooks. Ever awaiting PoE's sequel, ~B.~

Nice job, a simple little story with plenty of build up for the two of them. I bet that mistletoe did not get ther by accident.
