Why was Ron startled? What did Hermione do? I don't get it!

Author's Response: Harry and Ginny leave the picnic. They go off to talk while Ron and Hermione start making out. WHen Harry went back for the Butterbeer for himself and Ginny, he saw Ron and Hermione. That's what startled Ron, and that's why Harry came back to Ginny empty handed. I hope you enjoyed the story!
