wow, did you ever suceed. this was, i think, my favourite chapter to date. you made remus exactly what he should have been in that situation. calm, doubtful, angry. everything he should have been. he went through his emotions perfectly, being in control and out. letting kane's words get to him, then brushing them off. and he came out of it all with the upper hand, which as you said, was his strngth. he won, not in physical battle, but in the battle of emotions. very well done, it was all i could have ever hoped for in this chapter.
Succeed! My god did you succeed. 10/10. I think that this chapter is brilliant. I think that you got the cocktail of emotions perfectly balanced. You couldn't have done better and although I don't want this story to end I really want to read the final chapter. On another note i'm sure that you mentioned something about in the draft Tonks and Remus getting together. I think that even though you have more or less wiped that out of the story, the hint are still erm anvill sized. Anyway my verdict for this chapter is 10/10
Perfect. Really encapsulated what the whole story has been leading up to. I thought you captured Remus perfectly, the precise strength he has that Kane has never had and you've given him, and us, the closure he was looking for. Really enjoyed this chapter.
I love this story. I can't wait for the last chapter. Um...i started reading it before HBP, and when the book came out I congratulated you in my head for hitting the mark remarkably well. I love your Remus Lupin, and I think you've hit the emotions really well. i mean who could walk into a situation like that and feel only one emotion?
This chapter was brilliantly written. I take my hat off to you, or I would if I had a hat :) (no spiders here). You managed to find the perfect balance for Remus's emotions and the dialog is the most intense and the most definitive so far in this story. I assume the next chapter will not take so long to come?
Wow... I really don't know what to say. EXCELLENT. I really admire your work, your a superb writter. You have just the greatest way of displaying emotions and making them go all the way to the reader. Lupin was just so... Lupin, it was exactly like him to try and find a clouser and a victory too, but in his terms, not Kane's. Kane. He is just such a wonderful character, not that I really 'like' him but it has such deph, such an excellent mixture of emotions... no matter his best efforts he feels human to us readers. A wonderful piece of work... really, I wish I could write as well as you do. You did a great work with the emotions of Remus and Kane. A perfect balance. Thanks for this wonderful fic and I will waiting for the last chapter and the sequel. 10/10
Wow, another fantastic chapter in what is by far the best fan fiction out there. You definitely achieved all of your goals and I loved the Remus of this chapter, as I have loved the Remus of all your chapters. He has come alive for me and is extremely artfully crafted, as is the rest of your story. I can't wait to read the sequel! Keep up your talented writing and you will go far with it! 10+

I am dying to know what Kane has to say to Remus. I especially love how you've written Tonks. It is nice to know that Remus has a friend. Great job and I can't wait for the next chapter.
Hmmm...I must say. I have followed your story religiously on this site since...well....not the first, but at least the second chapter. When you finally posted chapter 40 I was so excited, but, as I only had about 5 minutes online, I didn't read it. I figured I would wait. Well, next time I came online...Mugglenet would not load. And the next time...and the time after that. As torturous as it seems ;-) I went a week without mugglenet. XD Well, my thirst for good fanfiction was not being fulfilled so I went over to a diff site to find a good one to read. Low and behold, I found your story...completed...beautifully. I'm new to HP fan fiction...so glad I found this story! I'm a Lupin fan, but alas...we see so little of him; know even less of his background; and wished we had more of him in HBP. This story has, though fan fiction, helped ease that empty spot by presenting a well-written and truly descriptive continuance of his own story. I really love how you take the pains to describe the setting of The Howling and its characters with such detail. I felt like I was standing right there with Lupin...in his leather motorcycle outfit...(Muahahaha!) I would really like to see that portrayed in a movie! Good Job!

The sudden appearance of Rolphe Lupin doesn't fill me with confidence though. I wonder what you have up your sleeve.
