In real life, I'm an English teacher, so beta'ing is similar to what I do as part of my everyday career.

Beta style: I'm a flexible beta; I am willing to go back and forth, reading through multiple versions of a story, if need be. I default to a comprehensive critique unless asked otherwise; I want to be helpful, but I don't sugar coat. I work with Track Changes to make comments and suggestions and to ask questions.
Genres: I'm willing to beta just about anything except poetry. I'll do AU on a story-by-story basis.
Ratings: I can beta any rating, but for 6th-7th year/Professor, I prefer to do it only if it's handled maturely and isn’t too graphic.
Warnings: I will not beta student/teacher stories. AUs I can beta depending on the story. I'm okay with everything else.
'Ships: I'm willing to beta slash and femmslash, but I stick to canon pairings when Rowling has made them clear.
Strengths: SPaG (spelling, punctuation, and grammar) including awkward phrasing; plot and character development
Weaknesses: Britishisms
Turnaround: About 7-10 days, but I can do it quicker if absolutely necessary.

Megan just gave me a very thoughtful critique on a Pansy/Theo one-shot I had created. She was fast, taking less than a week to look at my 11,000 word story, and she stuck to the deadline she had set for herself of which she had informed me. Her critique was comprehensive and covered the basics like "Would wizards use the Muggle reference of Scrooge?" as well as more complex ideas like, "We have no reason to think that Theo would be so violent here, based on his characterization in this story thusfar."

I highly recommend her--she'll bring a new perspective and a critical eye to your writing!
