    Quidditch supplies

Somehow I am not able to ask this question in the related sub-forum.

    Anyways, here is my question.

From where do you think would Quidditch equipments be supplied during the world cup. Will it be from the Quality Quidditch supplies from the Diagon Alley?

How would they transport these supplies to the stadium?

I personally feel they would send the equipments to the ministry where they would keep it safe from being tampered. I think it would be the ministries' job to transfer it to the stadium.

What method of wizard transportation will they use? Floo network?

    What do you guys think?

The sub-forums at the top of the RD are a part of the filing cabinets. So this thread will only go there once you've received all the answers that you need and no longer need the thread.

I'd always assumed that each player, or perhaps each team, decided where they would shop for their supplies. Especially since the teams are from different countries, they probably wouldn't want to shop at a foreign store whose merchandise they didn't have any experience with.

Unless you're talking about the balls? (I can't think of anything else in Quidditch that wouldn't be chosen by the player.) Then I think it would be the Department of Magical Games and Sports who saw to attaining the supplies when the Cup is held in Britain (perhaps even having them made new from a trusted supplier). They might have a closet full of new, un-touched, un-tampered-with supplies for occasions such as the World Cup.

How would they transport these supplies to the stadium?

I agree that Ministry officials probably escort them there to keep them from being tampered with.

Portkeys seemed to be the favorite method of transportation during the GoF World Cup, because the location was so far away. The DoMGaS would have been on location for months ahead of the game so I imagine they have some sort of Headquarters there, where the supplies might be kept. (I.e., I think they'd have gotten everything there long before attendees started showing up.)

Right, well. That was probably as helpful as a cat is on fox hunt.

You might consider also the possibility of there being sponsors for the individual teams' equipment...for example the entire Irish side was mounted on Firebolts, and perhaps that company supplied them free or discounted in exchange for advertisement and/or the players agreeing on all riding those brooms...
It might help to see how things are done in that respect (equipment etc.) with the Muggle soccer/football World Cup...it seems like that might be a very close real life equivalent to the QWC.

    Hope this helped!

By Quidditch equipments, I meant the balls. What is DoMGas? By Wizard transportation I meant what mode of transportation will they use to transfer the equipment?

Department of Magical Games and Sports.

The equipment might be transferred there the same way the people are - they can take it along with them wile apparating, it might be delivered on brooms, or maybe there's a sending-spell... Or it might be turned into a one-time-only portkey with a timer (like the one the Weasleys and Diggorys used to get to the QWC) so that it doesn't need anyone to touch it. Then the equipment would just appear at the place where they need to be at a set time.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm stupid - I completely forgot the most obvious method: Two or three sets of balls might be just sent by owl... I think five to ten owls should be able to carry one chest of balls. But that might be seen as too unsafe, because it's possible that the way from manufacturer to stadium is rather long, and then you don't want the owls to pass out over the see, bump into anything, rain to get on the balls, a hawk attacking the owls, ...
