The moment has finally come. I stand before him now and remember the steps that brought us here.

“And my soul? Mine?”

He gave me a trite answer to appease me. But is an abominable act done for good enough to spare me from damnation?

He meets my eyes, whispers the words, “Severus, please.” He is begging me to end his life, but by ending his life, I will end mine as well.

Is it enough?

I lift my wand and speak those damning words. I watch him fall…fall…fall…

And for a moment, I hate him.
