Lockhart Removed My Bones!
Would Muggle-born siblings/ cousins be wizards?
I have looked through the filing cabinet but can't find anything on this. Colin and Dennis Creevey are both born from Muggle parents but are both wizards. However Petunia is Lily's sister and isn't a witch. All the other Muggle-borns I can think of are either only children, or it is never mentioned. How common do you think it is for siblings both to be witches/ wizards even if their parents were Muggles? Or do you think it would be more common for just one of the children to be a witch/ wizard? Any thoughts?

Rowling never established any rules about this, so I think you are free to make up whatever wizarding-gene dynamics you want as long as it's not too outlandish.

Although if Muggle-born wizard are born through a recessive gene carried by both parents, the exact chances of a child being born with magic would be one in four, and having two would be one in sixteen.
It would be unusual, but not completely unheard of.
I refuse to get into wizarding genetics again.
In short, wizarding genetics don't make sense, and you can argue it however you want.
If you want to have Muggleborn siblings, probably no one will blink, unless there's five of them or something odd like that. If you want to have Muggleborn cousins, again, probably no one will blink.
If you want to have one Muggleborn witch or wizard with all Muggle siblings and cousins, that would also work.

With the Creevey brothers, you could always argue that the milkman maybe wasn't the father, if you know what I mean, or that the mother – who we never hear of – was a witch who lived in hiding. Maybe something awful happened to her/her family/someone she loved and she blamed magic and decided to live without it.
Personally, I think that it's very unlikely that both the Creeveys just happened to be Muggle-born wizards...
