Does anyone know of any interesting stories written about the Founders, or in that time period in general? My searches have thus far been unsuccessful! Thanks in advance.

greennotebook wrote a wonderful four-shot, called Sparks and Mud (1st-2nd years; warnings: Violence). I read it about twice or three times and loved it.
Quest for Knowledge (Professors; warnings: Sexual Situations) by TheVault I haven't read yet, but I know that this author writes fantastic stories and is always worth being checked out.
I myself have written a one-shot that is supposed to be the prequel to a chaptered story still in work. If you like to check it out: Arising From Nothing... (1st-2nd years; warnings: none).
Christmas in Amber by Inverarity is a story about Tom Riddle but it features Salazar Slytherin. It is well worth reading because the attention to detail is wonderful and the story is intriguing.

Banner by Julia (the opaleye) Join SBBC - we have Reese's.
Another one you might like is Follow the Basilisk Home by indigo_mouse. This is one of my favourites. It's a very interesting read as it looks at the Founders in a slightly different light.

Wonderful avvie by psijupiter. Totally brilliant and amazing banner by Julia/the opaleye!
Rivalries and Secrets by loligo8me is a good read. It features the actual founders, but from the perspective of a current school student.

Angst-tastic banner by Julia/the opaleye.
I really liked Home by Magical Maeve:click!
It's about Rowena Ravenclaw, and if I remember correctly, has a lot of Irish mythology.
