I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask, and I'm sorry if it's not, but what is the correct pronunciation of Dobby? My friends and I got into like a scream fest about it, and I would really like to know the official answer. Thanks.

The 'o' in Dobby is short rather than long, so it sounds like "Dah-bie" rather than "Doh-bie."
