The Quidditch Season

I'm wondering if any of you knows the Quidditch season at Hogwarts, as in which house plays which, when.
I'm not feeling particularly articulate today, so I'll just say thanks in advance and hope someone knows. =)

In the first book, at least, it seems like the first game is after Halloween, but the team practises together as soon as the school year starts.

It seems as though they have games in the spring too, but the season takes a break for winter.

Here is the basic schedule:

Gryffindor v. Slytherin
The first match of the year, normally held in November (PS, CS, PA, OP), but moved to the end of the season in PA (see below).

Hufflepuff v. Ravenclaw
Held at the end of November (PA10).

Ravenclaw v. Slytherin
January (PA12).

Gryffindor v. Hufflepuff
Normally held shortly after St. Valentine's Day (CS14, OP26).

Hufflepuff v. Slytherin
Early May (OP30).

Gryffindor v. Ravenclaw
The last match of the season, held in late May, usually before final exams (PS17, OP30)

In Prisoner of Azkaban, Slytherin requested a change in schedule on the basis of Draco Malfoy's injuries, so the usual playing order was not followed, with all Gryffindor's other matches moving up one time slot and Gryffindor - Slytherin moving to the end of the schedule.

On the normal schedule shown above, the games are grouped into three pairs, such that for each pair of games, all four teams play, with no team playing two matches back-to-back without a break. The Christmas break falls between Hufflepuff's first two matches, and the Easter break falls between Slytherin's last two.

Thank you so much, that's exactly what I needed. I'm trying to write out a timeline for my story, and I just wasn't sure about the Quidditch games. Glad to see Gryff is first...I have a bunny for a Gryff game. =)

I think you mean Ravenclaw's first two and Hufflepuff's last two?

Okay, maybe this will help.

September: School starts
October: Halloween
November: Gryffindor v. Slytherin also Hufflepuff v. Ravenclaw
December: Christmas break
January: Ravenclaw v. Slytherin
February: Gryffindor v. Hufflepuff
March/April: Easter Break
May: Hufflepuff v. Slytherin also Gryffindor v. Ravenclaw
June: Finals and end of year

So, Hufflepuff plays one game only before Christmas break and two after. Slytherin plays two games before Easter Break and one after.

Basically, each team plays once before Christmas, once between Christmas and Easter and once after Easter.

As I said in the original post, I copied the information directly from Lexicon so if there was an error, it was there's but typing this out month by month, shows they are correct. It is just worded strangely.
