Right then, Dieter, let's have a few questions then, shall we?

Have you, or any members of your family ever attended the Parteikonferenz und Versammlung in Nuremburg? Specifically, the Hitler Jugend or Deutsches Jungvolk parades reviewed by Hitler through Downtown Nuremburg.

What are your current views of the Rohm Putsch, which occured a couple of years ago, 1934, which, surely, your History classes will have touched on.

Do you have any special opinion on the Völkischer Beobachter, run by Dr. Goebbels on behalf of Hitler?

Have you ever read: Mein Kampf: Das Klassische Buch des Führers, das für den Deutsches Jungvolk in kurze Fassung gebracht ist which is given to all members of the DJV on their tenth birthdays by the JungFuhrer, with compliments of Herr Hitler.

Has the name "Obergruppenfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich" ever appeared on a family listing?

Has the subject of a DJV Campout at Obersalzburg been broached by anyone in your family, scheduled for the summer of 1940?

Do you have any plans to meet Der Fuhrer before your graduation from Durmstrang?

What are your opinions on the Social Policies of the Autobahnen and Volkswagen, both implimented under Herr Hitler?

That's all for now, but I have more for later......

    (Cue evil laughter)

Also, it's the same me who gave you the long-winded review on HPFF, and I snuck over here to see more chapters.... Muahahaha! Good job, still!

    You again.

Hey, Dieter, it's Nate again, and I have another question. I told Lorelei's little sister, Rae, about that whole fox-rabbit story of yours, and Rae asked me what does it mean when the farmer shoots the fox for eatting his chickens.

You should learn how to spell "eating" correctly, Nate. You should also learn to read properly -- there aren't any chickens in the story, dummkopf. There is only a fox and a rabbit.

Hallo Peter. Heil Hitler. Nice to meet you.

Hello Dieter, my name is Peter. It's a pleasure to meet you. I've read about you, and honestly, it makes no sense to me. I did read a book once, called The History of the World. It only had two paragraphs on Adolf Hitler, it mentioned that he was a dictator that caused the third great war that killed millions. But, after everything that has happened in the past few centuries, a few things get lost in the translation. You make him sound so wonderful, I wish we had someone who stuck up for Muggles like him...
    Wait, centuries?

What do you think about what the world has come to? Muggles have been overthrown and are practically slaves to wizards.

That can't be good. And don't tell me you're an American character from the future. I've met too many of them on this site.

Do you have any extended family that you are close to? Are they given the same story as the one you give your friends?

I have a grandfather, aunts, and uncles that we occasionally visit, but nobody beyond my immediate family knows the real reason why I am away from home. So yes, they are given the same cover story to best ensure there are no leaks.

What are you the most sensitive about? The thing that upsets you the most. Don't just say you don't know, because everyone has something.

What upsets me the most? First thing that comes to mind is people not doing their duty and what is expected of them.

    What is your pet peeve?

Stupid girls who waste my time and annoy me, and stupid Slavs like Karkaroff and his pet troll.

Have you ever liked a girl? Even a little bit?

I get along with my sisters just fine.

Hello Dieter, long time no see. I just have a few, pointless questions for you.
If they are pointless, why are you wasting my time?

What is your favorite brand of fountain pens? And why don't you just use one at school if you dislike quills so much?

Kaweco is a nice German brand.

What would you do if the United States entered the war?

First, the Amis wouldn't go to war -- they are too isolationist. Besides, even if they did, their army is no threat as it is tiny and they are just bad soldiers. No discipline at all -- they're all a bunch of rowdy cowboys.

Are there any Jews at your school?

Nein, of course not. Don't be stupid. They wouldn't admit vermin to Durmstrang, would they?

Well, bye. I have some questions from another person I have to answer.

    Dieter, are you on drugs?

    No.

Also, there is an interesting spell I thought you might like. Say scourgify. Point your wand at your mouth.

    Har har.

What do you think of Mentamorphmagi? Or Squibs?

    What's a Mentamorphmagi?

As for Squibs... I don't really think about them. Anyway, aren't they the product of Pureblood inbreeding? That's not really a problem I have to worry about.

Last question, what do you think of Muggles that burned witches?

I haven't gotten to that chapter in my history of magic class. Sorry, I can't say I know enough about it to have an opinion.

    Guten Tag, Mozarts Confutatis.

Have you, or any members of your family ever attended the Parteikonferenz und Versammlung in Nuremburg? Specifically, the Hitler Jugend or Deutsches Jungvolk parades reviewed by Hitler through Downtown Nuremburg.

We did attend last year's Nuremburg rally, so yes. I didn't get a good view of the Führer, unfortunately.

What are your current views of the Rohm Putsch, which occured a couple of years ago, 1934, which, surely, your History classes will have touched on.

I don't remember the Röhm Putsch -- I was pretty young then. But what I do know is that we couldn't have Röhm, a homosexual, subverting the Reich.

Do you have any special opinion on the Völkischer Beobachter, run by Dr. Goebbels on behalf of Hitler?

I have no special opinion on the Völkischer Beobachter. My father reads it, and before I went to Durmstrang I might read an article or two. Sometimes they had some good news, but a lot of articles were just about Party proceedings -- I know that sort of thing is important, but I thought it was mostly pretty boring.

I haven't read it all the way through. I keep trying, though. I also have the full-length version that my father gave me as a gift. It's really dense, and I haven't made much progress.

Has the name "Obergruppenfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich" ever appeared on a family listing?

    No.

Who is Obergruppenfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich? Is he in the Schutzstaffel?

Has the subject of a DJV Campout at Obersalzburg been broached by anyone in your family, scheduled for the summer of 1940?

I don't recall, no. Summer 1940 is still half a year away, and unfortunately I haven't heard all the news there is to hear from the Muggle world here at Durmstrang.

Do you have any plans to meet Der Fuhrer before your graduation from Durmstrang?

I don't have any concrete plans, but I would like to meet him and talk to him in person. As for what I would say, I have no idea yet.

What are your opinions on the Social Policies of the Autobahnen and Volkswagen, both implimented under Herr Hitler?

I think it's a good idea. I like Autos, though not as much as I do tanks, planes, and even Zeppelins.

I have yet to see a Volkswagen in my town. One of our neighbors ordered one a few years ago, and there is no knowing when it will turn up.

It was nice talking to you, Mozarts Confutatis -- finally, I get to talk to someone who isn't a complete idiot!

    ~ Dieter Heydrich

Interesting questions, Mozarts Confutatis. Thanks for sharing them. Also, since you obviously know the subject matter, I hope you don't mind if I ask for your opinions on story matters in the future.

    Hello Dieter,

I have some questions for you:

    - Do you realize that the term "like" in the American context is closer to what the British would term "fancy"? I'm not sure what the nearest German equivalent would be. That said, have you ever fancied any girls? If you haven't heard of the term "fancy" - it means to like a girl romantically.

    - How can you tell someone is a Jew? After all, aren't they hiding everywhere?? Maybe even someone you Know is a Jew!

    - Can you describe the break down of the human races? Aryans are the highest but where do other people, and I guess, non-people fit in?

    - Is there any part of the world you would like to visit?

    - Is Hitler always infallible?

    - Who is cooler (awesomer!), Hitler or Grindelwald?

    - Do you have a favorite Quidditch team?

I hope I wasn't included in this. Remember what I said about words hurting, dude!

And about the fox. Does this fox only exist to chase rabbits? Is it allergic to all other forms of meat. I mean, logically, you would think if a fox walked past an open chicken coop, it would try its luck at eating (see, I can spell!) a few chickens.

So what's the deal with the fox? And if it only eats rabbits and ignores all other possible chances at food, could the fox be considered pretty stupid? Or is this one of those genius foxes that is self-aware enough to know that it would get shot if it tried to eat a chicken?

Also, what if a Burmese Python escaped from its holding pen and then ate a fox? And don't say that would never happen, because it did, like, two years ago in Georgia! Who is the python in the analogy then?

Because I asked you a question, idiot.

Guten Tag, AidaLuthien. What kind of name is that, anyway?

    - Do you realize that the term "like" in the American context is closer to what the British would term "fancy"? I'm not sure what the nearest German equivalent would be. That said, have you ever fancied any girls? If you haven't heard of the term "fancy" - it means to like a girl romantically.

    No.

    - How can you tell someone is a Jew? After all, aren't they hiding everywhere?? Maybe even someone you Know is a Jew!

How could anyone I know be a Jew? They're not very hard to spot -- they're fantastically ugly.

    - Can you describe the break down of the human races? Aryans are the highest but where do other people, and I guess, non-people fit in?

Here is a simple list. At the top you have your European races, the Aryans of Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands, and Great Britain. Then you have Latins -- the French, the Iberians, the Italians, and others.

Below them you have your Untermenschen -- Slavs, Asians, Africans, and of course, Gypsies and Jews. The mentally retarded and deviant are in there somewhere too.

    - Is there any part of the world you would like to visit?

I would like to visit lots of places. Places like Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Britain, and maybe France.

    - Is Hitler always infallible?

He is as close to infallible as any mortal man can be, that is for certain. Hitler has guided the Volk flawlessly thus far, and I don't see that changing anytime in the future.

    - Who is cooler (awesomer!), Hitler or Grindelwald?

    Der Führer, natürlich.

    - Do you have a favorite Quidditch team?

No, I don't. I'm too new to the wizarding world to know much about any of the various Quidditch teams, and I haven't seen any of them in action.

    You again, Nate.

And about the fox. Does this fox only exist to chase rabbits? Is it allergic to all other forms of meat. I mean, logically, you would think if a fox walked past an open chicken coop, it would try its luck at eating (see, I can spell!) a few chickens.

You are thinking way too hard about this, Nate. This is the most thought (however wasted) I've ever seen you put into anything.

    ~ Dieter Heydrich

Bine: Tim, if the questions that you colour in dark red are text-wise larger than the answers, bolding them will be enough in order to have them stand out to the readers. There's no need to colour them, too, then.

Hello again, Dieter, some more questions for you now.

And please, call me Hans. Unlike your brother, however, I have no desire to be a gynecologist, and I am British.

    Now then,

Earlier, you mentioned that your father was an early National Socialist. Did he work for Hitler’s 1932 Election Campaign?

Do you consider Chancellor Grindelwald to be working with Chancellor Hitler in the, quote, unquote “purification of both Muggle and Wizarding Races?”

Do you know “Der Horst Wessel Lied?” I noticed Hans humming it earlier, and thought you might know it too, as it is a popular marching song for not only HJ, but the Allgemine SS and Wehrmacht as well.

Would you agree with Hans’ assumption that Der Führer should “stick to making speeches?”

Has any member of your family had a run in with either the Kripo, the Sipo, or the Gestapo?

I judge, by your fascination with the Otto von Von series, that you fancy a future as a Zeppelin Officer. How did the disaster of the Hindenburg in 1937 affect your dream, if at all?

I understand you dressed as “Uncle Joe” Stalin for Halloween a couple years ago. What kind of reactions did you receive in that costume?

Do you think The Grosse Deutsches Reich has a hope of withstanding another international crisis like the Great War of 1914-1918?

Have you seen Der Führer’s favourite film, “The Triumph of the Will?”

Would you consider a career in the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler a good future?

Let’s get hypothetical for a second: What would you do if Germany lost the war, and Herr Hitler was dead?

Were I to describe Reichminister Goebbels as a “rat faced fink” would you be offended?

What is your opinion on the Duke of Windsor’s visit to Germany last year (1938) where he, the brother of the king, gave the Hitler salute, and shouted “Heil” upon being presented to the Führer?

Do you have any views on Rote Jungfront?

Is Paul a member of the NSS (National Socialist Schoolchildren’s League)?

Are the “Speer” line of Racing Brooms designed by Albert Speer?

I notice you do not hold a very high opinion of Neville Chamberlain. Why not?

Where did nine year old Paul get to examine the pelvis bone of a Tyrannosaurus Rex?

And yes, Reinhard Heydrich is an Obergruppenfuher in the Schutzstaffel, specifically, he is the head of the National Police Force (Polizeigeneral,) and head of the Reich Security Office in Berlin. He is Herr Himmler's chief assistant. Does the name (aside from the last, of course) sound familiar?

All for now. These should make you think, you young National Socialist.

No problems at all, Tim. Just shoot me a PM if you've got a question or idea.

I think I feels like doing a lot of typing on the subject of MNFF most popular OC, so that is exactly what I will do.

First, I want to touch on your maps that have been appearing lately in your drawing thread. You really divided Italy up a great deal. I remember you one Italian student in Dieter's class. What region is he from? Are all the Italian regions in harmony or in conflict? Will this play into the story at all? Will the geography you are creating for the world's countries going to play into the dynamics of the war? I remember you saying you were going to do North America and Asia next: America and Japan. Will their geography play into the war at all?

I am rather obsessed by geography and how it plays into the wizarding world, as you can probably tell. It is something great to contemplate during bouts of writer's block. Apparently, it something you do as well, judging from how thought you have put into your map of Europe.

Now...what are all the countries represented in Dieter's class? It was mostly Germany and Eastern Europe...then there was Spain, Italy, and Denmark. Anyone missing? Care to tell all the Eastern European countries that are in Dieter's class.

Just how aware will all of these children about the war going on in Europe? Will the ones in countries attacked by the Nazis be slightly more informed than everyone else. The German children appear to be largely ignorant. Will there be any special significance to the countries you have chosen to have present in Dieter's class? Let's see...Denmark was controlled by the Nazis, Italy was controlled by Fascists at the time, and so was Spain, I believe, though not the exact same party (thank you, Pan's Labyrinth)

Anyway, I'm sure geography junkies everywhere will be excited to you how your interpretation plays out for the story.

I also wonder just how much Albus Dumbledore will be mentioned. You have been rather...blunt about how you perceive their relationship. I almost wonder if Grindelwald will be the bitter lover who is always ranting on about what a horrible person the other way, always going on about their faults....

That seems rather disturbing, and I am sure that very soon, there is going to be a drawing in your thread depicting this exact concept.

Also, Nate is still demanding to know what the Burmese Python symbolizes. Lorelei was the one who came up with the farmer analogy, but Nate came up with the python all on his own, and he wants his answer.

    Hallo Mozarts,

Earlier, you mentioned that your father was an early National Socialist. Did he work for Hitler’s 1932 Election Campaign?

Yes he did. He joined the NSDAP in 1930, and he helped design, print, and distribute handbills. Most of the pamphlets were either advertisements for upcoming rallies and speeches, or attacks against the SPD.

Do you consider Chancellor Grindelwald to be working with Chancellor Hitler in the, quote, unquote “purification of both Muggle and Wizarding Races?”

What I know about Chancellor Grindelwald is that his ultimate motive is the unification of world wizardry under the Zaubererreich. As far as I can tell, Grindelwald's contact with the Führer's is minimal, but then again, their meetings (assuming they are happening) don't have to be public knowledge.

Do you know “Der Horst Wessel Lied?” I noticed Hans humming it earlier, and thought you might know it too, as it is a popular marching song for not only HJ, but the Allgemine SS and Wehrmacht as well.

Yes, I do know the lyrics. Our youth leaders make sure we know it.

Would you agree with Hans’ assumption that Der Führer should “stick to making speeches?”

I don't know. Mein Kampf is a very important book, and I wouldn't discourage the Führer from writing another one. But writing books takes time, time which he could be using leading the nation.

But I do happen to like his speeches better.

Has any member of your family had a run in with either the Kripo, the Sipo, or the Gestapo?

No. Why should we have? We are law abiding Germans and National Socialists. I don't see why any sort of police organisation would suspect of for anything.

And my secret identity as a wizard is safe.

I judge, by your fascination with the Otto von Von series, that you fancy a future as a Zeppelin Officer. How did the disaster of the Hindenburg in 1937 affect your dream, if at all?

I quite like Zeppelins, but I do know that they are far too flammable and too limited in cargo-carrying capacity. Aeroplanes are better in every way, but there is something appealing about my image of Zeppelins as great ships of the air.

    Sigh...

I understand you dressed as “Uncle Joe” Stalin for Halloween a couple years ago. What kind of reactions did you receive in that costume?

I did NOT dress up as Josef Stalin for anything! Don't believe everything Tim says or draws!

And besides, we don't even celebrate that inane holiday where I live.

Do you think The Grosse Deutsches Reich has a hope of withstanding another international crisis like the Great War of 1914-1918?

Of course. We would have won the last war if we hadn't been stabbed in the back by Jews and Marxists, but now that we have sorted out our own house, that cannot happen again.

Have you seen Der Führer’s favourite film, “The Triumph of the Will?”

Yes I have, but I think it was a bit long.

Would you consider a career in the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler a good future?

Yes, that would be a very good future, I think. However, I am more attracted to a career in the Luftwaffe, given my interest in flying machines.

Let’s get hypothetical for a second: What would you do if Germany lost the war, and Herr Hitler was dead?

    I have no idea.

Were I to describe Reichminister Goebbels as a “rat faced fink” would you be offended?

Doktor Goebbels is not a fink. He is a very important and respectable person, and his hard work is crucial to the nation.

But to let you in on a little secret... I do think he looks rat faced, now that you mention it. He's not the handsomest person.

Don't tell anyone I said that.

What is your opinion on the Duke of Windsor’s visit to Germany last year (1938) where he, the brother of the king, gave the Hitler salute, and shouted “Heil” upon being presented to the Führer?

Obviously, the Duke of Windsor is a friend of Germany. It's a shame he had to abdicate, otherwise Britain might not be at war with us today -- we could even be allies.

Do you have any views on Rote Jungfront?

That sounds like some sort of Communist youth group. I don't like the sound of it already.

Is Paul a member of the NSS (National Socialist Schoolchildren’s League)?

    No he isn't.

AN: I'm not all that familiar with the history of the NSS. Wasn't it absorbed by the Hitler Youth in 1933? Did it cease to exist after that point?

Are the “Speer” line of Racing Brooms designed by Albert Speer?

As far as I am aware, no.

I notice you do not hold a very high opinion of Neville Chamberlain. Why not?

He was relatively friendly and useful to Germany up to the point he declared war against us. We could still be on good terms with the British were it not for his decision to declare war over a place like Poland.

Where did nine year old Paul get to examine the pelvis bone of a Tyrannosaurus Rex?

Paul is obsessed with dinosaurs, and has read many books on the subject. He must have looked at drawings of Tyrannosaur skeletons enough times to know what one looked like.

No, I haven't heard of him. Well, I might have come across the name in the newspaper once, but it's definitely not a name I easily recognise.

Thanks for the questions, Mozarts Confutatis. Or Hans, I guess I should call you. Are you German?

    ~ Dieter Heydrich

What's going on in Italy is just a little sideshow to the main story, and won't be mentioned very often. However, I would say that some of the Italian states really don't like each other, but they are all members of a very loose confederation that has little power. Expect some sparks to fly. As for the Italian student, he's not all that important and I haven't even decided where in Italy he is from.

As for the rest of the world, like Asia and North America, the geo-political situation there will only be mentioned in passing (if at all). Like Italy, it won't really make much difference in the story.

I don't believe WWII would have much relevance or effect on Pure-blood wizards/witches of any nation. After all, it is a Muggle conflict, albeit a very big one.

But for the Muggle-borns and some select Half-bloods, yes, the effects of the war will be felt.

Hello again, Dieter. In answer to your question, I am Anglo-Germanic, A Brit with German Great-to-the-ninth grandparents.

    But, down to business again:

Besides being a Party functionary, how is your father employed?

Would you consider sending a letter to Heinz Linge, Der Führer’s Private Secretary and Valet, asking Herr Hitler to visit Durmstrang, in the manner that Grindelwald did?

What are your views on the Jugenddienstpflicht?

Does the name Artur Axmann mean anything to you?

What are your views on Franz von Papen? Heinrich Bruning?

Is there, do you think, the chance that Herr Hitler could be mistaken? That the "Thousand Year Reich" might last a shorter time than he believes?

The Rote Jungfront is indeed a Communist Organization. As it's name signifies, it is the youth branch of the Deutsches Kommunistische Partei.

Have you heard "The Fuhrer's" Prophecy Speech?

What do you know of the history of Germany prior to the ascention of Wilhelm II to the throne in 1888?

Did you know that Der Kaiser is still alive? Would you like to meet him?

    All for now, Dieter.

    Heil

Tim, I owe you apropos congradulations. You have captured the essence of Goebbel's indoctrination programme on a uniquely human level I have never seen before. My Professor, who is not only an expert on Nazi Germany, but a devout Harry Potter fan, read this on my reccomendation, and wanted me to ask and make sure you've not got a PhD in Nazi German Culture.
