Hallo, Nate. I seem to be seeing a lot of you recently.

Alright, Molly has told me all the people that National Socialists don't like, and I'm going to ask you to tell me why it they are so awful.
    Gypsies
    Slavs
    Jehovah's Witnesses
    Communists
    Dissenting Clergy (wow, big words)
    Homosexuals
Talking Monkeys (alright, that one's mine, but I just don't trust them!)

You can't forget the Jews, Nate. Though I suppose you know enough about them...

Gypsies - Untermenschen. They're rootless parasites and vagabonds, and have no place among a pure Aryan Volk.
    Slavs - Also Untermenschen, obviously.
Jehovah's Witnesses - To be quite honest, I don't know much about Jehovah's Witnesses. Can't say too much about them.
Communists - Bolshevism is an ideology of chaos and senseless violence - they want to sink the world in blood. Bolshevism is also an invention of the Jew. Do we need any more reasons to oppose them?
Dissenting Clergy - I don't see why Pastors would want to oppose National Socialism, but if they do they're not good Germans, aren't they?
Homosexuals - Germany has no need for insane, depraved people who defile Aryan blood. We're better off without them.
Talking Monkeys - The NSDAP has no position on talking monkeys, as far as I am aware.

What is worse: a school full of Slavs, or a school with one Jew?

A school full of Slavs, definitely. Though Jews are much more dangerous than Slavs, they stand out, with their big noses and curly hair and all that. The Jew's behaviour will be so unacceptable that the school will have to expel it, if the students didn't oust it themselves.

A large number of Slavs, on the other hand, would be much more difficult to handle. Though they don't possess the same kind of malign cunning of Jews (they're rather stupid, actually), there are a lot of them, and nobody at Durmstrang seems to understand the threat they pose. If nothing is done about the Slavs, well, they'll probably end up running the school one day!

Are you worried about the Canadians?

    No. Why should I?

What do you think is wrong with Ernst? He doesn't seem like a very good National Socialist to me.

How do you know anything about my roommate?

I don't know what it is about Ernst. He's just too passive, I think. Sure, he's a National Socialist, but he doesn't act on it. A good National Socialist is a fighter, not a follower.

Have you found any other Hitler Youth members at Durmstrang yet?

Well, any German Muggle-born I meet is automatically in the HJ or BDM, since attendance is compulsory. I know Ernst is a member of the Deutsches Jungvolk. I'm still on the lookout for other Muggle-borns at Durmstrang. The lists don't record blood status, so the only way for me to know who's what is if I go around asking everyone, which will be a lengthy task.

Do you think there are any halfbloods who are members of the Hitler Youth? That kid, Jupp, said he was a Pioneer.

    What are Pioneers?

I suppose there could be half-bloods in the HJ, but they'd probably have to live in the Muggle world for that to happen. Most half-bloods seem to have been raised entirely in the wizarding world and have had little to no contact with Muggles. I doubt they could be in the HJ if they were so isolated.

Have you ever been to a movie theater?

No, actually. My town does have a projector in the town meeting hall, but not a dedicated theatre. It serves the same purpose though, but we usually don't have many reels to play.

What are some of the big breakthroughs in wizarding technology where you are?

Well, a lot of wizards consider wireless sets a huge breakthrough in magical contraptions, but they tend to forget that is was originally a Muggle invention. Other than that, wizards don't really use "technology" in the Muggle sense, and I don't know enough about magic to know about any new advances in that field.

I have heard about the Volksbesen being a great leap by bringing an affordable broom with decent performance to the masses, but quite a few students I've met couldn't care less about it.

Have you seen any of the famous wizarding joke products yet?

    No. Should I have?

    ~ Dieter Heydrich

Thanks for the questions, Molly. I hope you get better! Please don't do anything to compromise your health!

Hey, Dieter, Nate is back again, and Molly is no longer contageous! And I never heard you say 'Get Well Soon' to her either!

    Nate, be nice!

Bah, bah, bah! I don't know why you still make excuses for the little Nazi boy. Did what Uncle Luca do mean nothing to you?!

Nate, there was no Uncle Luca!

So you say on the forums...

If you had to live somewhere else besides Germany, where would it be?

Do you think it is important to learn other languages? What languages would you like to learn?

Do they have ice cream in Germany? Do they have pineapple? Do they have pineapple ice cream?

Have you gotten any letters from your Muggle friends yet? What have they said? Has Ernst gotten any letters from his old friends?

What do you miss most about the Muggle world?

Has Gerta been leaving you alone lately, or is she still a pain?

    Hello Dieter,

It is Tatjana here. Long time no see. I just read through your topic and I noticted that you have been talking to someone in the future, I think this name was Josef or something like that? I thought I would let you know something - I am from 1990 myself. it is a scary thought to think I am from the future right? And I am sorry to tell you that there is no NSDAP (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) here in Denmark

Which leads me to the question which I have been wondering about, how do you feel about the future? I mean are you curious, scared etc about it? When I was about your age I did not give it so much thought.

And by the way are you someone who looks back? I mean, do you like talking about what you have done, you know, like talking about memories?

Wondering, do you like listen to music if so which kind? I have heard about your favorite books but not about how you feel about music?

And what do you think about handicapped people? I guess you see them as someone who is a burden for the Aryan race?

Being random agian, but are there any animals you are afraid of?

P.S I should say hello from Anna. I am sure you and her would get long well. She is about your age and German too. And Aryan.

Oh, hallo. Two people, and one who isn't Nate for a change!

Hey, Dieter, Nate is back again, and Molly is no longer contageous! And I never heard you say 'Get Well Soon' to her either!
Well, I did, because Tim did. I guess you can say that anything he says can be an extension of me, and vise-versa.

Bah, bah, bah! I don't know why you still make excuses for the little Nazi boy. Did what Uncle Luca do mean nothing to you?!
    Who's Uncle Luca?

If you had to live somewhere else besides Germany, where would it be?

I don't really know. I've never thought about that, actually. If I had to pick someplace, maybe Switzerland because of the Alpine scenery, or even Italy for the food.

Do you think it is important to learn other languages? What languages would you like to learn?

Well, it depends on what language you are learning. But yes, it would be important. I learned a little French in primary school, but not much and I've forgotten a lot of it. I would like to learn English, though (yes, ironic, isn't it?). It's close enough to German to be easy to learn, and it would be nice to be able to have a conversation with fellow Aryans of Britain.

Do they have ice cream in Germany? Do they have pineapple? Do they have pineapple ice cream?

Of course we have ice cream; don't be a kartoffelkopf, Nate. However, I can't say we have pineapple flavoured ice cream, though. Pineapples are really expensive and have to be imported from the tropics. I've never had one, actually.

Have you gotten any letters from your Muggle friends yet? What have they said? Has Ernst gotten any letters from his old friends?

Haven't you already asked me this question?

What do you miss most about the Muggle world?

My family, for one. It is quite exciting to be at a magic school all on my own, but it would be nice to see my parents and siblings again.

Of course, what I also miss the most is people who know anything about what I'm talking about! Most people at Durmstrang haven't a clue about what the Muggle world is like, and it is quite wearing to have to teach everyone who is willing to listen.

Has Gerta been leaving you alone lately, or is she still a pain?

She was pretty annoying at the beginning of the school year, but now she only tries to annoy me when we get too close. Before that, she went out of her way to do it, but I suspect the novelty's worn off.

Now, enough of you, Nate! On to the next person...

Hallo, Tatjana. I haven't seen you in a while.

Which leads me to the question which I have been wondering about, how do you feel about the future? I mean are you curious, scared etc about it? When I was about your age I did not give it so much thought.

What future are you referring to? My personal future, or the future course of history? Well, for both, I haven't really thought about it and I have no predictions.

However, being a wizard has opened up a whole new realm of possibilities. I don't know what I will end up doing in the future, but I'm pretty sure that it will be interesting and of use to my country.

And by the way are you someone who looks back? I mean, do you like talking about what you have done, you know, like talking about memories?

Sure. Doesn't everyone? I can't think of anyone who doesn't tell stories about something they did in the past, or of good memories or anything like that. Though I suppose if you've lived a very boring life, you won't have much to say, but fortunately that's not the case for me.

Wondering, do you like listen to music if so which kind? I have heard about your favorite books but not about how you feel about music?

I was never in the habit of listening to the wireless, so I don't really have any musical preferences. However, I do like the marching and campfire songs we sing in the Deutsches Jungvolk and during rallies and other outings.

And what do you think about handicapped people? I guess you see them as someone who is a burden for the Aryan race?

Well, I suppose they would be. It's expensive to take care of retards and people with birth defects, and the money could be better used elsewhere. But I don't really worry about that - it's not something I think about, being perfectly healthy myself.

Being random agian, but are there any animals you are afraid of?

Earwigs - those little bugs with the pincers at the back. Those things are just gross, and it's always a pleasure to squash them on campouts.

Anyway, it was nice talking to you, Tatjana. And tell Anna I said hello. Good luck with your story.

    ~ Dieter Heydrich

Thanks for the questions, Molly and Tatjana. I'm currently writing Chapter 13, which features Quidditch!

    Hello
    I have questions!
How much do you know about Houston, TX?
    Do you like cookies?
    Want some?
What kind of weather are you having?
    Where are your classes?
    Why is the sky blue?
Who all have you heard from since you went to Durmstrang?

Hallo, n4wtb. What kind of name is that?

How much do you know about Houston, TX?

I know absolutely nothing. Who is Houston? What does 'TX' stand for?

    Do you like cookies?

Of course I do. I don't know anyone who doesn't!

    Want some?

    Sure. Danke.

What kind of weather are you having?

Right now, at Durmstrang? It's horrible. The castle is located on a mountainside in a rather steep, east-facing valley, so all the cold winds from Russia are funnelled right to where we are. It started snowing in the middle of October, and it might take until April or May before the snow melts. All the older students have told us to enjoy the outdoors in September while the weather was still nice, and now I understand their point perfectly.

    Where are your classes?

All around the castle for the most part, and it can be a pain just climbing all the stairs to each classroom. I have every class except Herbology and Flying/Quidditch inside somewhere. Those two classes I mentioned are held by the lake at the greenhouses and Quidditch pitch, respectively.

    Why is the sky blue?

I honestly have no idea. The sky is blue because of some complicated scientific reason that I don't know.

Who all have you heard from since you went to Durmstrang?

I've received letters from all my immediately family members, as well as my Muggle friend Karl - I can't tell him anything about Durmstrang, however, so that makes writing responses complicated.

Thanks for the questions, n4wtb. Don't be afraid to ask me more.

Houston is a city in TeXas. That's in the US.
    anyway,
    How would you describe Karkaroff?
In my time,he is the headmaster of Durmstrang.

What do you know about the US wizarding schools? Mine's the Texas City Institute and it's in an old oil rig.
    Bye!
Oh wait... N4wtb stands for No 4th wall to break.
And the sky is blue because of Rayleigh diffraction. Longer wavelengths spread faster because they are bigger and thus have less distance to go.Blue and purple are the longest wavelengths visible.
OK,what do you know about American wizarding schools?
I go to the Texas City Institute of Wizarding Sciences.
    Have you ever invented anything?
Can you describe Karkaroff in 3 words? Yourself? Ernst?Hans?Lena?Nate?

OK, the sky is blue because red, orange, yellow, and green bounce off stuff faster, leaving only blue and purple. Purple goes away faster, leaving blue.

Hallo n4wtb, thanks for the explanation. I still don't know anything about Houston, though.

How would you describe Karkaroff? In my time,he is the headmaster of Durmstrang.

Karkaroff is a spiteful idiot and an Untermensch. I think that's all that really needs to be said about him - he's foul.

And how did he ever become the Rector?

What elective classes do you have?

There aren't any electives for first and second year students, but I do know that starting in my third year, Astronomy is no longer required and everyone has the option of dropping it - something I intend to do. Some new classes that appear are Divination, Arithmancy, and Ancient Magical Languages. That last class sounds mildly interesting, but I don't see how useful it would be.

Also in the third year, some of our classes end and are replaced by another set of mandatory classes. For instance, Herbology ends (though it can be continued as an elective) and is replaced by Magical Creatures. I think learning about animals will be a lot more interesting than some stupid plants, in my opinion. Also, History of Magic ends and is replaced with 'The Wizarding World', and this is the most welcoming change - no more Professor Simonov!

What do you know about the US wizarding schools? Mine's the Texas City Institute and it's in an old oil rig.

I know nothing about American wizarding schools. And why would you build a school on an oil rig? That sounds like a really stupid idea, if you ask me.

    Bye!
Oh wait... N4wtb stands for No 4th wall to break.
Why are you saying goodbye now?

And the sky is blue because of Rayleigh diffraction. Longer wavelengths spread faster because they are bigger and thus have less distance to go.Blue and purple are the longest wavelengths visible.

    Okay...

OK,what do you know about American wizarding schools?
I go to the Texas City Institute of Wizarding Sciences.

For the second time, I don't know anything about American wizarding schools, and the only one I know is the one you just told me about earlier, the one on the oil rig.

    Have you ever invented anything?

    No. Should I have?

Can you describe Karkaroff in 3 words? Yourself? Ernst?Hans?Lena?Nate?

Your grammar really needs some help, n4wtb.

    Anyway...

    Karkaroff: Untermensch, spiteful, foul
    Me: Aryan, principled, proactive
    Ernst: Aryan, Catholic, mellow
    Hans: Aryan, annoying, skirt-chaser
    Lena: Aryan, energetic, uncontrollable
    Nate: Ami, ill-mannered, stupid

In my time, Karkaroff is the headmaster of Durmstrang.

Yes, you've already told me this.

Do you know what a 4th wall is?

    Some literary term, is it?

At the end of the day, what is National Socialism about?

It is about many things, but to put it in simple terms, it is all about the unity, strength, and greatness of the Aryan Volk.

Do you know about Rayliegh Diffraction is?

Didn't you already mention it? Something about purple and blue light rays?

Do you want to be the first OC to participate in a boys versus girls SNOWBALL FIGHT!?

What, here on this forum, or in my story? If in these forums, I'd be massively outnumbered, but I think I'd be a match for a lot of these little girls wallowing about their love lives.

    Do you like cement mixers?

I don't know. Why do you ask?

    I like panzers better.

What do you know about Washington, D.C.?

I know it's the capital of the United States, and has some monuments.

    Would you like some chocolate?

    Yes please. Danke.

OK, the sky is blue because red, orange, yellow, and green bounce off stuff faster, leaving only blue and purple. Purple goes away faster, leaving blue.

Why do you keep explaining to me why the sky is blue? Don't you have anything better to talk about?

Well, thank you for your questions.

Hello there, Dieter, my name is Sarah, I hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions.

You've mentioned quite a lot that you don't like Igor Karkaroff, and, I think, jinxed him once or twice. Did you get into trouble for that?

Have you had a detention yet?

Where do you see yourself in ten years time?

I know it's a long way off, but once you've finished school, do you see yourself intergrating back into the Muggle world, or staying within the wizarding world?

What was your last piece of homework about?

What is your favourite time of year?

Are there any spells taught to older students in their classes that you are looking forward to learning?

    That's all for now,

    See you.

Hey, I saw those three things you used to describe me. Words hurt, man! And you say I'm lazy? You don't even bother to write out 'American'! Molly says that Ami is the name of one of the characters in Sailor Moon. You turned me into a Japanese cartoon character in a ridiculously short skirt!

Now I'm NEVER going to get Alaia Grace!

What Professor gives the most 'creative' detentions at your school. All the professors at Skat-Hatokha love this method of punishment. Once, Professor Leslie made a girl follow him around for a whole day, and everytime he was right and another person was wrong, she had to perform the 'I Told You So' dance on his behalf.

It has been pretty well establish that once you join the wizarding world, there is no going back (they're like the Mafia). What kind of wizarding career could you see yourself doing?

Do you have any aunts, uncles, cousins, or anything like that? I've only ever heard you talk about your immediate family.

What country, other than Europe, would you most like to visit?

How are you adjusting to the cold at Durmstrang? Last year, it was -30 degrees C (you do the conversions) for a whole week, and Molly didn't leave her room for the whole time. Just microwavable macaroni, me, and the nuns. *Shudder* It was an ugly time for me as well!

And what do you mean you don't know anything about American schools? You've been talking to me for months and hearing about Skat-Hatokha! Granted...no one in the US seems to know about either, but that's not the point!
