All three were written in response to a Challenge/Prompt Fest of some sort.

All three mention members/descendants of the Black family.

All three include Harry at some point of his life: adult, baby, schoolboy.

All three involve the relationships of parents with their children.

All three emphasize the value of family and/or friends.

    All three involve godfathers: Harry/Teddy, Sirius/Harry, Snape/Draco.

The stories are all about knowing.

The first story ends with the line "I don't know".
The second story is titled "Don't You Know" and ends with the line "I know".
The third story is titled " I Know" and includes the line "I know" near the end.

All three stories involve love triangles including two men and one woman, and in each story one of the trio is ultimately rejected.

    And the answer is...

    Love triangles!

Ah. The dreaded love triangle. Congratulations, Vicki! Also, Vicki will be receiving bonus points for noticing all the "I know" connections.

    All three involve people dying.

All three include Latin mottoes or sentences or phrases in Latin.

Albus Dumbledore is mentioned in all three stories.

    Points whore here

All three titles are connected to Wilfred Owen and First World War poetry

    (From Dulce et decorum est)

My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
    Pro patria mori.

    and

    Nocturne is Wilfred Owen poem.

    All three stories involve wands:

In the first story Hermione uses her wand to (we suppose) kill Harry.

The author of the second story is named mahogany_wand.

The word "wand" is in the title of the third story (Dead Wands, Wand Shops, and Magical Phrasebooks), and the story is focused on wands.
