Well, it depends on what kind of future you want Pansy to have. JK doesn't want her to have a good life at all, poor thing, even though apparently Draco is redeemable. *sigh.

I think she would've been really crushed when she and Draco broke up. On the other hand, the Parkinsons might be more concerned about their own situation and make sure that she is broken up with Draco so they face less problems.

If you're just looking for a likely candidate for Pansy to be married to, without having gone through a sea change in personality and circumstances, I would suggest a rich Slytherin.

Honestly, you're free to interpret Pansy how you like since she gets the short end of the stick so strongly in canon. Just about anyone is possible who isn't already paired off in JK's interviews. Most of the Slytherins are so badly or not at all portrayed that we have no idea about what they might be like when they're not in front of Gryffindors insulting them, particularly those who stay out of that kind of nonsense like Daphne Greengrass, Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini.

What about Goyle? But that would be the worst couple in the world...or Cormac McLaggen...he's super obnoxious, so it could be really funny...

I actually did see a fanart drawing where Pansy married Goyal. Let's just say it made things feel really awkward!

Hmm, not sure she'd be that crushed when she and Draco split. Or rather, I'm not sure she'd be upset by the time of book seven. I don't think Draco and Pansy lasted much beyond Christmas on HBP because he was now too caught up with trying to kill Dumbledore.

Okay, there is a suggestion in HBP of her having had a fling with Blaise or being rejected by him (We all know how choosy you are, Blaise), so you could go down the route of her marrying him (although that thought makes me positively retch - poor Blaise)

Personally, I'd get her to married off to an older Slytherin (I don't mean very old) like Marcus Flint or Vaisey because we already have four couples who marry people they were in the same year as so it's more realistic that she'd find someone else.

I think if you have her marrying at all, you need to take into account that everyone knows that she denounced Harry, and although they might agree with her, they might not want to be publicly associated with her. Perhaps, in that case, she'd marry later in life or a foreign wizard (Oooh, Pansy/Krum - ).

I think Pansy is extremely ambitious and shrewish; yet at the same time is quite "girly." I doubt she became a Death Eater. I think she really wants to marry Draco, and might become quite spiteful when he rejects her. (Reminds me of a hilarious poem I read called "Draco, why not me?". Sorry, I can't remember the author right now) My pick for Pansy's future husband: Zacharias Smith

This is a bit of a silly question but I'd like to know what others think. I'm writing a story about Pansy's sister, whose age I keep changing my mind about. How many siblings (if any) do you think she'd have and where in the age order do you think Pansy would come? I'm the eldest and most people think I'm a middle child, so I know that you can't really tell. But from what you know of Pansy, what would be your guess?

Any ideas much appreciated- thank you!

Uhm, well I'm not really a great believer in the eldest/middle/youngest child syndrome where each are assigned characteristics (eldest responsible, middle -ignored, youngest - spoiled) but that's possibly because I'm the youngest and don't want to admit I'm a brat.

Pansy certainly seems to behave (from the little we know of her) like a queen bee. She surrounds herself with the other Slytherin girls and appears to rule the roost. She's also very imperious with the Slytherin boys. We don't hear anything about siblings, but that could be because they're much younger and thus annoying, or older and not at Hogwarts (as well as the fact that we really don't see much of her.) You could put a spin on her denouncement of Harry as the desire to protect herself and her family.

Sorry, I'm not much help here. I would, on the whole, put her as the youngest by several years and thus not close to her siblings at school (maybe she gets closer to them later). Hmm, I'm thinking that perhaps she does have brothers because she seems to understand the male psyche very well. She certainly knows how to make Draco and Blaise bite.

Slytherin pureblood type families don't tend to have a lot of children - somewhere between one and three. I had pegged Pansy as an only child just from that, but like Daphne, I suppose it's possible she had a younger sibling by a few years that we never heard about... or an older one.

As for assigned character traits for birth order, the last research I read on it said it reflects how we act around our siblings - but not necessarily anyone else. I'm the older sibling of me and my brother - and I'm definitely the bossier one.

I see Pansy as either a daddy's girl or the younger child with an older brother who also dotes on her.
