I think this is the right place to put this, but correct me if i'm wrong.

I seem to have a problem logging on to my archive account to post a story or poem. it keeps saying that the website cannot display the page. I have double checked my username and password, and the only explanation I have is that it's the computer. but it's not blocked or anything. I can log on to any other website except MNFF.

    Any help?
    Georgia

EDIT: don't know what I did, but it worked now. Well, computers never have really liked me, so that must be it.

That's kind of weird, but there really isn't anything that can be done about that. My best suggestion is to subscribe to pertinent threads in SBBC (as well as in other forums you frequent), and make checking your subscription list a part of your routine. Also, you can set them up for email reminders if you wish. That's about all I can tell you.

I think what Georgia means is not that her post doesn't appear in the thread she posted it in; it just doesn't appear in New Posts. New SBBC posts don't appear under New Posts for me, either; I have to actually go to the SBBC forum to check, even though I'm a member. I was wondering about this too...should they be appearing under New Posts?

Georgia, I checked both your profile and pending usergroup requests for SBBC, and there is no reason why your posts aren't appearing. You are in the group, and your request was verified. I don't know, except for maybe to PM either Julia or Natalie and ask them they have deleted anything or if you've posted in a moderated thread.

So I just got accepted into the SBBC. I posted, and checked the new posts to make sure it came up. It didn't. Aren't the posts supposed to come up from any group you're part of?

C'Mon! It's April Fools Day . . . How much more opposite could we have taken it? Besides, nothing is impossible. (We got this term in the bag, muHAHAHA.) *coughs*

As a faithful Huffleduffer who has seen my house win the championship over and over again, I demand an answer! Why is it called the Slytherin Trophy Room!? If you're looking at who wins the most, shouldn't it just be called "The 'Where we give Equinox Chick points' forum"?

Here and there, the archives (and sometimes the forums) get little gremlins in the works. Sometimes, it is localised to certain servers, and sometimes to the main server. My best advice is to keep trying until it works. If they are doing site .maintenance, that generally happens around midnight later EST, so try to avoid those times for the best chance. But I will submit an error report nonetheless.

Hi, it's me again. Sorry to post again so soon, but I'm still having trouble. I've tried deleting the chapter and posting again twice and it still won't work. I thought maybe it was my computer, so I tried on a laptop and it did the same thing. I suppose it could be my internet connection, but it seems to be fine on other sites. MNFF seems to be running very slowly for me. When I hit a link to my account, it takes a while to open, and then I try to do something else and again it is slow, and so on. Is it just me or are others having that problem?

Anyway, back to the chapter submission. When I hit the submit button for the chapter, it seems to get into a loading loop and takes forever before this error message appears.
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Then if I go to the story, and open it, I can see the chapter, and it even updates the chapter total on the story summary, but again, no date update, or word count increase, and it doesn't show up in the recents. Odd that it updates the chapter count but not word count... I really want that updated, as I'm rather proud of the word count. At the same time being rather embarrassed by my verbosity! >.<

    I'm at a loss.

p.s. In case you missed my edit. I love your penguin! Reminds me of the 'old' days, with deanine et al. *sigh* I've been here a very long time. Happy New Year.
