- So, I am an old guy. Probably old enough to be your father, unless you already have children of your own. I was always horrible at English in school and was told repeatedly (even though I loved to tell stories) that I would never be a writer. Just about every English teacher I ever had told me that until I got to college and finally had a Professor who read to correct, but also read for content. Still, while I started writing scripts for illustrated stories, I always avoided prose because it was engrained in me that I was a horrible writer. It might surprise some of those old teachers to learn that I am actually a published Author with a book selling on Amazon.
I still struggle with punctuation, but I have come a long way since school.
