This thread is for any and all questions you may have for us. We would like you to get to know us.
First a bit of an introduction for those who may not know us.
I will start, and Hannah will add hers in a bit.
Let's see... I am a grandmother of seven who is obsessed with HP. I wish I could say I read the books because of my grandchildren or even my nephews, but alas, I read them a bit over a year ago after watching the first two movies. I knew from reading LOTR then watching the movies, the books would be better. And I was right.
I have my favourites of course. Though I have a close friend n the boards who will argue this with me, I should let you all know, Sirius Black fell through the Veil and landed in the USA with me. He is very happy here and quite often finds his way into my stories.
I am in Hufflepuff and I am known in there for being the Canon Queen. I have read the books probably over 50 times each with Deathly Hallows being read about twice as much as the others as I always have to read it twice in a row.
Okay, Hannah, your turn...
So, ask away. If you would like ideas for questions, read the Ask Sarah thread. There are quite a few great questions in there.

Hello!
So I will add my intro to Terri's and then you are welcome to answer any and every question you can think of!
So, my name is Hannah (I actually share the surname of an HP character, but I'm not telling you which one :p) I'm 18 and I live in England. I'm currently in my last year of school, studying for my A Levels. In September I will hopefully be going to university to study History and Politics.
I'm not 100% sure when I first started reading the HP series, but I think it was around the time PoA came out. I certainly remember watching a segment on 'Newsround' about the release of PoA and I think that is what made me start to read them. I couldn't tell you how many times I've read the series but it's a lot. Whenever a new book came out I would read that one through once or twice then read the rest in reverse order and then sometimes go back through in the right order. My favourite of the earlier books was always DH but of the later ones it is probably OotP or HBP.
I am a very proud Slyth and we are always thinking up new methods of world domination. I am also an obsessive brit-picker. My OTP will always be R/Hr and I love modding the R/Hr & H/G category.
So, what else do you want to know? :)

Terri/Hannah, do you think it would be plausible to have a thread that deals with nothing but the grammatical issues with Harry Potter, such as which words to capitalise, which words to not, and so on... Basically, a thread where people can ask questions about the intricacies of capitalization, spelling and so on of the words peculiar to the Harry Potter series.
I know that I for one, often wonder whether a word is capitalised, or if a certain word is hyphenated (pure-blood comes to mind). So instead of creating a new thread every time I have a question, wouldn't it be better to have one centralised thread?

BB,
Thank you for your suggestion. We can and I already did create a thread for those questions.
Anything we can do to make it easier for our members to be able to submit a fanfiction that is perfect.
I have a suggestion for BB's suggestion. :)
Could the first post be updated regularly with all the question's answers? Like, a list of all proper nouns, what should be hyphenated, etc. so that members don't have to (a. scroll through the pages to find the answers (b. keep asking the same questions 'cause they're/we're/too lazy to scroll through the pages.

Ari: Yes that sounds as though it shouldn't be a problem. We will create a master list of answers already given in the first post of the thread. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to update everyone concerning questions in this thread. Hannah has resigned from helping on this board to take a position as an Ebil Barmaid in the Three Broomsticks.
You can of course still ask her any questions you may have in here, I will make sure she sees it.
I want to wish her good luck keeping up with the Ebil One.

Terri, I was wondering what happened with the FFTF. There's not many entries... are you going to continue with it? It's a shame really that so few people responded - I really enjoyed writing my discussion; it was very thought-provoking and I have since noticed things like fridges in fanfics :D
And, to make this more like the Ask Sarah thread...
Is there something you really wish was included in the HP movies that is in the books?
What are your favourite and least favourite HP books and why?
If you could have dinner with any five people from the HP universe, who would you invite and why?
Who are your favourite authors aside JK? Books?
Hm. I hope that's okay...
And, good luck, Hannah! I hope you enjoy TTB. :)
xx
