Marauder's love round robin PART 2

Hello to all again!!!!

As we know, the first part of this round robin was a huge success (yay!!!!) as since it got so busy inside there, I started up "Part 2" so that new comers can join us.

So, the plot so far for those who are joining our little note book/ coffee table/etc:
Lily was walking to the common room and James called out to her. He gave her her diary and she thought he had seen it, so they argued over what Sirius had told him was written in it. She left and went to her dorm.

Her freind, Darla Megreen, found her in the room and Darla hatched an almost flawless revenge plan to stop him from liking her; She had to go to Hogsmaede with him, making him think she was sorry for everything, and then humiliate him in the Great Hall later. Lily was hesitant, but she finally agreed.

As Lily runs off to ask James, Darla goes and speaks to Remus; they were the masterminds really of the plan. Remus had more of the idea that Lily would fall for James on their "date", but Darla had different intentions, obviously, to keep Lily happy.

James obviously agrees, and so the date goes through. James takes Lily to the shrieking shack on the way and she doesn't want to go there, and blows her cover by accident by calling him "Potter." He puts two and two together and figures out what happened and is very hurt. She begs for forgivesness (and hates it as well) and he asks her to go into the shrieking shack with him, so reluctantly she agrees.

As they walk inside it, they hear a noise, and both pull out their wands and Sirius jumps from behind a couch and scares them out of their wits. As James and Lily threaten to hex him back so badly, greasy slimeball Snivullus enters, and after a small argument between Sirius and Snape, Snape throws "Sectumsempra!" at Sirius, and the coward that he is, leaves.

Lily and James Haul Sirius through the Womping willow exit to the castle. They take him to the hospital wing and Fawkes heals Sirius's wounds, and Lily starts to cry as she feels guilty on going on the date with James because Sirius followed them. As Sirius wakes up, the other Maruaders join them, followed shortly by Darla. As Madam Pomfrey tries to shoo them all away (*gees, sounds like I'm trying to get rid of crows! lol*) and when Lily sees James's face, she pretends to cry, saying that she feels so bad about it all, hence she and James stay.

As the boys get bored, they coax Lily into changing the roof and walls of the Hospital wing different colours. James tells he she owe's him still, and asks her out in a round-about way, and she replies that she already is and leads James away.

As she leads him to the room of requirement, the ever annoying slimeball Snape appears again. He takes Lily into the room instead. He asks her to ditch James ofr him, as he figured out that Lily and James were dating, and she tells him no and leaves.

As they get back to the Hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey gives the two the calming potion, which they vanish as they don't need it. They, along with Sirius, start firing colours at the wall until Lily gets up and draws a piucture of Snape, and James adds devil horns and a tail for enjoyment. As Madam Pomfrey sees it, she gives them a stronger potion to drink. Sirius distracts the nurse by making himself vomit, and they vanish the potion away.

Moony, Wormtail and Darla come to see the three, and after they left, James and Lily shared what would be a very nice kiss/kisses. After that, James shows her his stag form and takes her for a walk/trot/ride in the grounds and they kiss again outside, but are both stunned by snivillus again.(*Anyone know a good counsellor we could recommed to him?*)

It turns out that Snape also hit James with a charm so he has no idea who anyone is, sort of like a memory charm. As she is released from the hospital wing, Snape takes her to the room of requirement to sort out "business." He kisses her, she pulls away, pretending that she wants to take things slow. As he tells her about his plan to break the news to James, he figures she is playing along and as he tries to take her as some sort of hostage, she breaks free, slaps him and runs to James's bedside in the Hospital wing, but he hasn't had the potion and has no idea who she is still.

Slughorn enters with the nurse, and tells Lily the potion is almost ready, and she is made to go back to class. Of course, slimeball Snape is waiting for her and she decides to play along as revenge. She tells him she will go with him to the Halloween ball (which was the next day) and they could break it to James then.

At the ball, Snape and Lily dance (*poor girl, having to dance with it*) and James comes marching in. Lily turns to Snape and says (*I quote here*) "Sorry babe, I'm taken." and as normal people have it, James and Lily danced for the rest of the night.

The next night, James asks Lily about everything and she tells him exactly what happened and not to worry. As she goes away to the Astronomy tower, he follows, and they kiss up there until Snape (AGAIN!!!!!) interupts and in the end both boys end up again in the hospital wing. As Sirius and Lily talk, James wakes up and they find that someone had attacked Darla as she was brought in...

So, that's where the story is being lifted off. Now, I am going to post again in the thread in a moment, and I am going to quote the last few parts so everyone can get a feel again.

Okay, here's what's happened in the last few posts:

James frowned and apologized by kissing her. With a flick of his wand, music swayed in the breeze, and they danced, until they were interrupted by Snape's curse.

"Expelliarmus!" he shouted.

James was thrown back and collided with the ramparts as his wand flew in Lily's direction. His head hit the edge and flopped down onto his shoulder. She ran over to him and felt a lump growing where his head had been hit.

"I wish you would stop running away from me, my delicate, little flower," Snape whispered coming up next to her.

Lily turned on him, feeling a rage more powerful than she had ever felt before. Snape took a step back, as if sensing her anger.

"Get out of here," she ordered in a deadly hiss.

Snape ignored her, and took a step forward and placed a hand lightly on her shoulder. Her temper flared, and before she knew what she was doing, she wrenched out her wand.

"STUPEFY!" she screamed.

Her spell forced him backwards and lifted him off his feet. Snape flew through the open doorway and with heard him tumble down the stairs. Feeling satsfied, Lily looked back at James. Lily raised her wand once more and muttered, "Ennervate." He looked up at her.

"What happened?" he asked groggily.

"Snivellus hexed you, and I Stunned him," Lily explained. "The way your heads looking, I'd best haul you back to the Hospital Wing."

She picked up James' invisibilty cloak and threw it over one arm, as she offered him her other hand and pulled him up, bringing his arm over her shoulder. When they were at the bottom of the stairs, Snape was lying a few feet away. He looked pretty beat up. His legs were pointing out at odd angles, and a tiny trickle of blood was forming a tiny pool below his nose. Lily's lips thinned, then she looked at James.

"Should we bring him? After all he's done to us in the past two days?" she inquired.

James looked at his rival, lying on the floor. Then he made his decision.

"I guess we should," he answered. Lily looked at him incredulously. "We should because what if we do? Someone could find him and ask him who did this. He'll accuse one of us in an attempt to get you."

"Fine, we'll take him," Lily conceeded. "But I'm not touching him."

James pulled out his wand with his free hand and said, "Mobilicorpus."

Snape's body rose from the ground and floated in front of them, as they walked down to the Hospital Wing in silence.

"I knew you missed me!" Sirius exclaimed as Lily and James trudged in, the latter moving Snape forward.

"Yes, Padfoot, I left, and Snivellus here made sure I came back," he commented.

"Should we wake Madam Pomfrey?" Lily asked. "Or just slide these two into bed?"

"Just put them in bed," Sirius said. "She's coming back in here to make me drink some more of that foul potion."

James gave his wand a little wave and Snape landed on a bed at the end of the ward. Lily brought James over to the empty one next to Sirius and helped him in. As she glanced down to the end of the ward, she got an idea. She got out her wand again and whispered, "Furnunculus." The hex hit it's mark, but the victim, who was still unconcious, made no noise. The two Marauders looked at her, their mouths agape.

"Well, I'd better go," she announced, pretending nothing had happened. "Unless you want me to stay, then I'll be forced to hex myself."

"I think you..."

"I think you should stop being so rebellious. You're taking my sopt in James' life!" Sirius exclaimed, pouting his lips.

"Eew, please let that just be wrong use of words," Lily stated as she kissed James and left.

"So, did you kiss her?" Sirius asked and James grinned.

"Oh yeah. And she's mine, so bugger off," James warned playfully as he looked up at the colourful ceiling. They really were artists if you thought about it.

"Mr. Potter! What are you doing here again?" Madam Pomfrey spluttered as she bustled into the wing, a potion for Sirius in one hand.

"Him." He pointed to Snape and she sighed deeply.

"You two really need to stop trying to take revenge on each other, I'll run out of supplies soon!" She muttered as she looked at the lump on his head.

"He started it. First my best mate, then he goes after my girl, what next?"

"Your girlfriend's best friend, perhaps?" Sirius suggested and James turned to see Professor Sprout levitating Darla onto a bed.

"Fan-bloody-tastic. More hell," James replied bitterly.

Darla lay unconscious on the bed with her eyes closed and fists clenched. The only sign of life was her heavy breathing – it was as though she had only moments ago been on a long run.

Sirius tried to lean closer to the bed that Madame Pomfrey was now attending to, only causing himself more pain.

“We really need to create something to hear conversations from afar,” grumbled Sirius as he kneaded his side to get the pain to go away.

“Shh!” James waved a hand impatiently trying to shut his friend up. He was straining his ears to eavesdrop on what Prof. Sprout was telling Madame Pomfrey.

“I found her up in the….”

Okay, that was the last post, so now who ever catches the pen, writes the next part. For those new comers, what we do is you type/paste the last sentence the last writer wrote into your part and put it in bold, then the rest is just normal. If you are finishing a sentence, the part you write is not in bold. Please quote your part as well.

I know that I am being picky and all, but it makes it so much eaiser to see it all. If no one understands what I mean (I don't blame you either) then go and see the first thread, and you'll see what we've done. Enjoy!!

Yeah! I caught the pen! Sorry, this is my first post, and I read the entire thing in one night just so I could post the next part.

"I found her up in the seventh floor corridor. I have absolutely no idea what happened, but it looks like a simple Stunning Spell." James shot a look at Sirius, but as Sirius didn't know that James and Lily were at the Astronomy Tower when Snape had caught up with them, he also couldn't possibly know that Snape could very well have passed the seventh floor.

Professor Sprout left after a few more whispered words to Madam Pomfrey, and James and Sirius started a conversation in low voices.

"Hey, Prongs, what happened? You know, with Lily and Snape and all?"

James looked around, making sure no one was listening, and said, "Lily and I were in the Astronomy Tower and Snape came and interrupted. He probably cursed her, on his way up there."

Sirius nodded. "Okay. Well, there's not much more we can do now, is there?"

James shook his head. "No, we'll just have to...

Sorry it's so short, but I'm still getting used to the story.

Nobody was responding!! And even though I was the last to write before this one, I really want this story to continue!!! so here goes...

James shook his head. "No, we'll just have to kill the greasy git!” As soon as James sat up he felt as though hammers were pounding his head. His hand instinctively reached up to hold his head steady as he lay back down on the infirmary bed.

“Guess you’re not up to killing Severus just now, huh?” chuckled Sirius. James turned his head to face Sirius and gave him a glaring death stare. But, before he had time to respond with a witty comment the infirmary doors had been swung open once again.

“Albus!” Madame Pomfrey said in a surprised whisper.

“Poppy, I need to place another child in your care.” From behind Prof. Dumbledore, Lily slowly emerged breathing heavily.

“Again?” Poppy asked in surprise.

“It would seem so, she needs a good claming draught, and a sleeping potion to get her through the night.” And with that, he swung around and closed the door behind him.

“Miss Evans, please come with me, you can lay here close to my office.” Madame Pomfrey bustled to the end of the ward, to the farthest bed from Snape’s. But, Lily had stopped at the foot of James bed, and when Mdm.Pomfrey looked over she sat down on the bed across from his.

“Oh, very well!” she said breathlessly, though she couldn’t help but let a small smile escape her. She bustled into her storage area to get the potions needed for Lily.

All the while, James had been close to a nervous collapse. When Lily had stood at the foot of his bed, she had not even looked at him, let alone said anything. As she lay down on the bed opposite his with her head propped up with cushions awaiting her medication, her eyes finally met his. When they’re eyes locked he noticed a single tear trickle down her face. He wanted to jump up and save her from her tears, but the thumping in his head and the return of Mdm. Pomfrey would not let him.

Lily took all that was given to her, and before letting her hit the pillow she looked over at James and whispered, “I’m sorry.”
Sirius looked over at James to see that he was just as flabbergasted as he was.

“What was that all about?” Sirius asked.

“I don’t know. But I feel somehow it’s….


Slams pen down on the desk in frustration.

“I don’t know. But I feel somehow it’s not going to be something I like," James replied as Madame Pomfrey came to give Sirius more potions.

"Stop talking and get some rest, both of you." She went to her office and checked to make sure they were both laying down before she dissapeared inside. Sirius was asleep in a few minutes, but James had a much harder time. He kept glancing at Lily and wondering what had happened to her. Finally, he fell into a restless sleep.

James woke up in the morning to see Lily eating the food Madame Pomfrey had given her. She met his eyes briefly and looked away, but not before he saw the guilt that stood out on her face.

When it was clear that Lily wouldn't eat any more, Madame Pomfrey came out of her office and took the rest away. "Are you ready for breakfast too?" she asked him.

James shook his head. "Not yet." She left the two of them alone while she checked on Snape, who was still unconcious. "Lily what happened?" he said softly.

She blinked back the tears that threatened to fall and whispered, "James, I'm sorry. I...
I hope that's okay. It's the first time I've done something like this.

"Well you didn't get over me in a hurry now, did you?" She snapped cooly, and she turned away from him. Girls and their emotions, he thought.

"M-m-madam Pomfrey, what happened to D-Darla last night?" Sirius stammered through his yawns as she tended to him.

"Never you mind Mister. I don't need you back in here again because you went and got revenge for her. It's bad enough that you sustained a curse with such dark magic like that, let alone another curse like that," She lecutured as she pushed a goblet of potion into his hands before walking off to Darla's bed. Sirius rolled his eyes.

"So, why were you two arguing just then, huh?" Sirius asked queitly, turning to James.

"Nothing, don't worry." James tried to brush off the subject, but Sirius wasn't giving up just yet.

"Bull. if it was nothing she wouldn't have sounded so cold," Sirius stated and as James went to reply he was interuppted by...

Dun Dun DUN!! Oooh, suspense. So dramatic and all. Lol :)

I'm back, and I'm ready to write! *Takes up the pen once more* I've been meaning to post here for quite a while.

"Bull. If it was nothing she wouldn't have sounded so cold," Sirius stated and as James went to reply he was interrupted by Remus and Peter bursting into the Hospital Wing just as Madam Pomfrey headed into her office.

They ran up to James and Sirius' beds, both looking concerned.

"Do you know where Darla went?" Peter asked. "One of her and Lily's dormmates said neither of them showed up last night. We figured you did something to land yourself back here with Lily."

"We know where she is, just not what happened to her," Sirius answered darkly. "All we know is that Sprout found her in the seventh floor corridor and that we should really make something to help eavesdrop on conversations."

The two Marauders looked around the Hospital Wing and saw Darla lying in a bed next to Lily who was determinedly looking anywhere but at James, Snape, and the painting on the wall that Madam Pomfrey had somehow still not noticed.

"What's up with Lily?" Remus inquired, now frowning.

"I dunno," James replied with a shrug. "All I did was ask her if she was going to break up with me because of Snivelly's jealousy, and then I said it's not my problem if he can't get over his feelings for her. Then she got all offended and said that I didn't get over her in a hurry. What's up with that?"

"She meant that you didn't get over your feelings for her every time she turned you down and Snivellus is probably the same way. He just won't take no for an answer," Remus explained slowly. "I mean, how many times has he tried to pull you and Lily apart since she agreed to go to Hogsmeade with you about two or three days ago?"

"Moony's got a point mate," Sirius chipped in. "You've been trying to ask her out since, I dunno, fourth year? And that was before second or third year when you kept saying that you liked her."

James heaved a sigh. He knew his friends were right. To buy himself thinking time, he looked down at the painting on the far end of the ward. He picked up his wand and traced some lines at the massive mural of the Snape devil. When he put it back on the bedside table a couple minutes later, there was a long, pink feather boa draped around the neck and a witch's hat with butterflies flying around his head. Apparently satisfied, he tore his gaze from it and looked at Lily who quickly averted her gaze to the painting.

James climbed off his bed and walked across to Lily's and sat down at the foot of her bed. She still refused to look at him. James took a deep breath, knowing that this wasn't going to be easy.

"Lily, I just wanted to say..."

Now I'm really back! Who's next? *Tosses pen into the air and hopes it won't take 3 days for the next installment*

First post for me! *is so proud of herself* *trips over something* *I'm OKAY!*

"Lily, I just wanted to say... I love you Evans and not even" Here James paused biting his tounge against a word that he didn't want to say. He finally grimaced and muttered, "Severus is gonna change that," Lily smiled a genuine smile and grabbed his tie, pulling him into a kiss.

"I was hoping you'd say something along those lines," she said when they finally paused for breath, "My little marauder is all grown up!" She said with mock tears, "He's ables to say," here she paused before making a similar grimace to one James had made only moments before, "Snivellus's name with an almost straight face."

James gave her a dirty look before the tie was in Lily's hands and she was pulling him into another long kiss.

Yay! I caught the pen! *drops pen* *stumbles to catch it back up* NO! No, I tell you! It's mine, mine, all mine!!!!! Hee hee. Sorry [/sugar high]

Down the hall, Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was conversing with his fellow professor, Minerva McGonagall.

"Really, Albus, something must be done about all these attacks between the students. It was all very well when it was harmless and a detention would suffice as punishment, but this is getting out of hand."

Dumbledore smiled benignly at the Transfiguration teacher. "I happen to be in perfect agreement with you, Minerva. What did you have in mind?"

McGonagall opened her mouth to respond when she was interrupted by a very harried Horace Slughorn, bustling past them in his urgency to be somewhere. He bumped into McGonagall in his rush, and turned to apologize.

"So sorry...oh, it's you, Minerva. And you, Albus. I must say, I have a complaint. These students are much too rowdy. Look at this. I found another in the halls just minutes ago. It really is out of hand."

The Potions professor hurried on, an unconscious student in his wake. Professor McGonagall only got a glimpse of the student's face, as the head was turned the other way, and thus she couldn't identify the teenager.

"See, Albus? This is what I meant. Something must be done."

"And so I ask again, Minerva: what did you have in mind?"

McGonagall's lips pursed as she thought how to phrase her idea. "Well, I suggest that..."

*catches pen again* I don't mind, no one else shows up very often anymore.

McGonagall's lips pursed as she thought how to phrase her idea. "Well, I suggest that we have a lock down of the entire school. No student would leave their house unattended. The teachers could interrogate the students individually, ask them if they've seen anything suspicious."

"An excellent idea Minerva," Dumbledore said calmly. "But how do we get them all into their houses? What if some are in the Hospital Wing?"

"The people in the Hospital Wing can stay there," McGonagall answered. "We'll just make post signs in the common rooms telling the students to stay in their houses. The house elves could deliver the food to the houses. For now, the teachers that are awake can search for students out of bed and escort anyone they find back to their house."

"That sounds well-planned Minerva," Dumbledore told her. "How long have you had this planned?"

"That's beside the point Albus," McGonagall replied. "Now I'm going to look around seventh floor."

She walked off, leaving Dumbledore behind. As soon as she had turned the corner and disappeared from sight, he chuckled and headed in the other direction.

Lily, Sirius, and James were just saying goodnight to Remus and Peter when the doors to the Hospital Wing flew open, and Professor Slughorn entered the Hospital Wing carrying a sixth year Ravenclaw with long brown-blonde hair they didn't really know. He knocked on Madam Pomfrey's office door and she came out in a dressing gown.

"Another one, Horace?" the nurse cried in exasperation.

"Yes, I'm afraid so," Slughorn answered heavily. "Where should I put her?"

"Put her down on an empty bed," Madam Pomfrey told him.

As Slughorn set her down, Dumbledore walked in.

"Albus, what brings you here?" Madam Pomfrey asked in surprise. "Surely not another attack."

"No, no," Dumbledore assured her. "Just to tell you that the school will be having a lock down. No one will be allowed to leave without a teacher escort tomorrow. I decided to comme here and see if there were any late guests."

He spotted Remus and Peter who were standing between James and Sirius' beds.

"Ah, Mr Pettigrew and Mr. Lupin, I assume you will need an escort back to Gryffindor Tower," he announced.

Peter and Remus looked at each other before nodding. Dumbledore opened the doors and led them out after they bade their friends good bye.

The doors shut and Madam Pomfrey went to examine the girl Slughorn had set down. Slughorn had just spotted the unconsious Snape, but abandoned him for Lily when he noticed she was awake.

"Lily! What are you doing here?" he asked her, looking surprised.

"Oh, I...uh..."

Sorry it was so long, I got carried away. Again. Random Idea: Maybe we could start inserting ourselves as victims of this attacker...just a thought....

Yes! The pen must like me or something! Ok, I'm writing now. By the way, I would add myself in as a victim, as Lily_writes suggested, but I wasn't sure if the owner of this thread would be ok with that. Well, anyway, here goes!

"Oh, I...uh..." Lily stammered. She couldn't think of anything appropriate to say. Surely she couldn't tell Slughorn she'd provoked his seventh year student into hexing James Potter! "Er, Professor, that is, I..." she trailed off.

James, still sitting right next to her bed, interrupted, saying, "Lily just wasn't feeling well, Professor. You know, stomachache, headache, things like that."

Slughorn's fleshy face turned down in concern briefly before saying, "Well, have you taken a potion yet?" When Lily nodded, he smiled and added, "Good, good! Can't have my best student missing class, now can I?"

Lily nodded hesitantly and sank down into her pillows with relief when the Potions professor left the Hospital Wing. "You know, I really dislike that man. He'd be nice enough, I suppose, but he asks after me every time he sees me and I don't really want him to know all about my personal life! Oh, and James," she turned to face him, "thanks for saving me back there."

James grinned widely, happy to receive the thanks. "No problem, Lily. Anytime." He leaned in to give Lily a kiss, but Sirius interrupted.

"You're not going to do that again, are you? Because, you know, that door isn't locked and Madam Pomfrey is completely able to just waltz in here."

James turned to look at Sirius, scowled, and turned back to Lily to give her a kiss, in defiance. However, right then....

Sorry, I just cannot seem to make my posts long! Ah, well, hopefully that opens up a world of possibilites for the next writer! Catch the lucky pen! *throws up pen, now worn down with use*

However, right then, Lily's eyes widened and she quickly pulled away and stared at a bed a distance away. James looked and saw that it was Snape's bed. He was sitting up and beckoning to her with a malicious look on his face. Lily vigorously shook her head and sat down on her own bed.

Just then, Madame Pomfrey walked in. "Lily, dear, could you help me give Mr. Snape his medicine? It is such a hard thing to do with only one person."

Lily inwardly groaned and pushed herself off the bed. "Now, he somehow got all these boils, and the only way to cure them is to rub this salve on all of them."

Lily nearly burst into tears as Madame Pomfrey drew curtains around the bed. James shot daggers in Pomfrey's direction and strutted right up to the curtains. "Knock, knock," he said. Madame Pomfrey opened the curtains only wide enough so that he could see her face. "Yes?"

James cleared his throat. "Um...yes, Lily isn't feeling to well, and if Snivel...Snape is in there completely undressed, I think that it's a man's job to help. I mean..."

Realization dawned on Madame Pomfrey's face and she hurredly turned to Severus, who was in a rush to take off all of his clothes in front of Lily, who looked disgusted. "Now, Mr. Snape, keep your knickers on." She laughed at her joke, but suddenly turned serious again. "Lily will not be helping you tonight. James will." Severus looked dumb-struck, Lily looked apologetic, but James looked smug. This should be fun, he whispered to himself....

*throws the pen back down* There. I said my piece. Continue, please.

"What are you smirking at Potter?" Snape snarled as Madam Pomfrey left the cubicle to get him some pyjamas.

"Oh nothing, just the fact that you seemed a little excited to strip only moments ago for my Lily," James smirked back.

"Jealous are you?"

"Keep your hormones to yourself, Snivellius, I never knew you of all people could be so vulgar." James was enjoying seeing Snape's face contort with such rage.

"We all know why you want Evans,Potter. She's the only girl that hasn't let herself free with Black," Snape spat and he had stuck gold. Big time.

"Why you little son of a-"

"Right Severus, Bend over while I apply this creme. Potter, you can put it on his arms, thank-you." Snape was very lucky at this point that she had entered the cubicle, otherwise he could have been a lot worse off.

As James started applying the creme, he noticed the tub had a warning sign on it: Do not apply more than an inch of creme as it will reverse the effects, hence more boils will appear.
'Interesting, so interesting...' James thought as he continued to apply the creme, a lot thicker than need be...

Okay, this is my first time here, so here goes nothing!

"This is just going to be too good," he whispered as he finished applying the cream.
"What are you saying," asked Snape angrily.
"Nothing," James replied innocently.
When James was done with the gruesome task, he placed the tub on the bedside table and left the cubicle. With a mischevious grin on his face, he strode over to where Sirius and Lily were.
Lily could tell that James did something that was very nasty to Snape while in the cubicle, though she didn`t press the matter. All she said was "Please don`t tell me what I think you just did."
James simply sat down on a bed and whispered back, "Indeed, Evans, I did something that you believe that I did."
Just after James finished his sentence, screams erupted from the curtained section.
Madam Pomfrey dashed out in a frenzy.
"JAMES POTTER," she roared, "WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?"
Before James could awsner, she had boxed his ear and dragging him back to Snapes bedside to see...

She boxed his ears and dragged him to Snape's bedside to see Snape wailing as hundreds of boils sprang up his arms and shoulders. "I didn't do it ma'am!! I didn't know that would happen!!"

Madame Pomfrey thought for a moment and nodded her head. "Yes, boy, you're right, I should have told you the warnings. But he needs this salve ALL over again, and I'm going to have Lily do it this time."

"Oh, my. Only on his arms, though, right?"

"No, my dear, the side effects take place all over, and I'm very busy at the moment, so Lily and you must do it by yourselves. Lily?"

Lily came into view looking glum. "You take the bottom half and Potter here will take the top. Other than putting too much cream on, he's pretty good with the arms. I hope you'll be comfortable."

"But Madame Pomfrey, if Lily's rubbing cream on his..."

"There there, Mr. Potter. I'm sure Ms. Evans can handle it. Have you forgotten that I am a woman?"

She sighed and marched to her office. Curtains magically appeared, and Snape stopped wailing at once, giving James a victorious glance and Lily a malicious look. "Oh, stop being so full of yourself," Lily snapped. "You think we're honestly going to listen to Pomfrey?"

James looked amazed at her new-found talent for rule breaking, and Lily, to Severus' crestfallen look, began rubbing the salve on his arm...with gloves on.

James sniggered, until he heard Madame Pomfrey coming to check on their progress...

Hello, everyone! Sorry if this isn't up to your standards, but my computer deleted it three times before I got it up! Grrr..... *goes and sulks in corner with cowering pen* Here goes:

James sniggered, until he heard Madame Pomfrey coming to check on their progress... With no time to waste, he hissed to Lily, "Quick! Switch back!" Lily quickly ran to Snape's feet, and James went up to Snape's thin, white arm and began applying anti-boil cream (though not quite as liberally as before).

"How is everything here?" the nurse asked. She noted that Snape's robe had yet to come off. Instead, the black material had been pushed up to his knees and shoulders.

"Everything's fine here, Madame Pomfrey," Lily said. "It's just great." She smiled, hoping to convince the nurse to leave more quickly. However, Lily saw Snape open his mouth, probably to assure the Hogwarts nurse that everything was indeed not fine; that Lily and James had swapped positions. Taking a chance, any chance she could get, Lily lightly rubbed her fingers against the bottom of Snape's bare foot. Startled, Snape jumped, though Madame Pomfrey somehow managed not to notice. Rather, she was staring at the wall opposite, having finally noticed the large mural. Meanwhile, despite being extremely ticklish, Snape was much too dignified (at least in his mind, anyway) to burst out laughing, so he held the air in, and, in turn, was unable to inform the nurse of what Lily and James had been doing.

Turning back to her patients, and not seeing anything out of the ordinary, Madame Pomfrey began walking away. Right before she was out of earshot, however, she turned back and stated simply, "Mr. Potter, if you insist on practicing your artistic license in here during your spare time, please take the time to credit your work."

Grinning, James raised his wand and muttered a quick spell. A few seconds later, the words The Marauders and Lily Evans were added to the masterpiece. Smiling, he questioned, "I think it needs a title, don't you?" Turning to ask Lily her opinion, he found her in an argument with Snape, who seemed to be losing.

"You'll pay for that, Evans. I swear you'll pay."

Lily only raised a single eyebrow skeptically. "In case you haven't noticed, Snivellus, you're bedridden and I hold the only cure in my hands. So what can you do?"

Flustered, Snape stuttered, "I'll...I'll..."

And before you could say Avada Kedavra, James’s hands were around Snape’s throat.
“If I you ever say that again I promise it will be your last words,” James hissed.

Lily and James threw open the curtain and ran out and found Sirius' bed empty. He had fallen to the floor and was doubled over. At the sudden burst of noise, Madam Pomfrey came dashing out of her office.

"I leave you all alone for two seconds and you start hexing each other?" Madam Pomfrey scolded. "I thought you boys would've grown up by now, but no, you insist on making this place a zoo!"

She walked over to Sirius and lifted him up. She helped him back into bed and looked him over as Lily and James looked on anxiously.

The spell Snape had fired off and intended to hit James with, made Sirius look like he had just been in a boxing match and lost. There was a black and blue ring around one eye, his chest was bruised all over, and his nose was broken and bleeding all over his nightshirt. Madam Pomfrey fixed the wounds as best she could, before turning on James, Lily, and Snape. Snape, who had paused to watch the pandemonium, just realised his wand was still out. Unfortunately, the nurse saw him as he tried to place his wand back on the bedside table.

"Mr. Snape, are you trying to kill Mr. Black?" Madam Pomfrey asked in exasperation. "I don't know what would possess you to attack a student who has already been hexed within an inch of his life. Give me your wand, now."

Shooting James malevolent glares, Snape handed his wand to the nurse.

"I'm sorry, I know you haven't done anything, but just as a precaution, I'm going to need all your wands. Mr. Potter could you get me yours and Mr. Black's, Miss Evans, kindly fetch yours, Miss Megreen's and Miss Thomas' wands over there too," Madam Pomfrey instructed them.

Resignedly, Lily and James collected the wands and handed them to her. Then they watched her go back into her office.

"Great, now what?" James glared at Severus before marching back to his bed, next to Lily. Lily groaned.

"I'm going to die in here. I'm going to leave. There's nothing dramatically wrong with me, anyways." She strutted right up the beds, purposely swinging her hips next to Snape's bed. He groaned. She walked up to Pomfrey's office and gave a sharp tap.

James nervously glanced at Lily's retreating back as she walked into the office. He turned to Sirius. "We're in trouble. I overheard Pomfrey saying that we're having break soon, and we're all caught up on schoolwork, but we'll be spending it here. And Pomfrey wants Lily as an assistant over break!!"

Just then Lily, who had obviously been crying, literally crawled back to her bed. She threw everybody except for Severus his wand. "Okay, Madame Pomfrey says that we can have our wands, but Snape can't. She's decided he has done the most hexing and the rest of us are of good intent. But she made me promise to stay as her helper over break."

James heard a moan from Snape's bed and sniggered. "Not so tough now, are you?"

To his great surprise, Severus stood up and walked to Lily's bedside. "I will have you eventually, my delicate flower." She raised her wand at him and he flew gracefully back onto his bed. She quickly cast a silencing charm on him.

She marched to Sirius' bedside and quickly healed his bruises. She pushed his bangs to one side and kissed his forehead. James looked aghast. "What about me?!"

"You weren't the poor puppy that got hurt!"

Sirius was in a daze. He touched where she had kissed him. "I just got kissed by Lily Evans," he said dreamily. James pouted, and she gave in.

She slowly walked to his bed, swinging her hips. "I love you," she whispered in his ear, placing a kiss on his lips.

*jumps and catches the pen* *coughs like mad for several minutes because of stupid damn flu* Yes, lucky lucky me caught a really bad bout of the flu after finishing my school musical and I've been stuck at home for 2 days straight now...

She slowly walked to his bed, swinging her hips. "I love you," she whispered in his ear, placing a kiss on his lips.

"I never thought I'd hear the day," he whispered back after he returned the kiss, and she slipped back into her bed.

"This so sucks. I hate being sick," Sirius whined and James rolled his eyes.

"Don't be such a baby, it's not that bad," James replied, only half listening as his thoughts started to trail off to Lily again...

"You're not the one who nearly had his insides spill out, are you?"

"Gee, you're just the little ray of sunshine, aren't you, Black?" A girl's voice said.

"Megreen?"

"No, it's the great and powerful Merlin, who else?" She replied as she slowly sat up in her bed. She was terribly pale, but otherwise not too sickly.

"What did Snivillus do?" James asked, sitting back up. Obviously Lily was asleep.

"Well, it wasn't Snape, it was..."

My creative juices are a little slow. Band camp just ended today (trust me, it lasts a long time) and I'm tired.

"Well, it wasn't Snape, it was..." Darla began. Before she could finish, however, Madam Pomfrey came out of her office once more with a bottle of shocking pink potion and a goblet.

"Ah, Miss Megreen, I thought I heard you," she said. "It appears that you were hit by a very peculiar hex. It appeared to be a combination of a Stunning Spell, the Jelly-Legs Jinx, and one that apparently gives you the symptoms of the flu. The effects of the flu won't show for a while so I need to keep an eye on you."

Darla slumped against her pillow and looked around as the nurse poured out the potion and handed it to her. She drained the goblet and Madam Pomfrey took them both back to her office and closed the door.

"So, who's here? Besides you, me, and Sirius?" she asked.

"Well, we got Lily, Snivellus, and a sixth year Ravenclaw," James told her, pointing out each person. "That girl was brought in not to long after you."

"Are you definite that Snivellus didn't hex you?" Sirius put in. "This seems like the type of thing he would do."

Darla shook her head.

"No, it wasn't him," she asnwered grimly. "I'm not sure what house she was in. I didn't have enough time to see the house badge."

"A girl did this to you?" he asked in shock. "What year do you think she was?"

"I don't remember much of her, but I do know that she looked about fifteen and there was something about her that radiated something powerful."

"I just hope no one else is wandering around," James added darkly. "What if she does something to the prefects on duty tonight?"

As if on cue, the doors to the ward burst open again. This time, Professor McGonagall entered in a tartan dressing gown and carrying...

As if on cue, the doors to the ward burst open again. This time, Professor McGonagall entered in a tartan dressing gown and carrying a young girl whose blonde hair obscured her face.

As she laid the girl on a bed, she called for Madame Pomfrey. The girl’s hair fell away from her face to reveal light brown eyes. They were open, but unfocused. For a moment, she lay quietly, but then she screamed, thrashing about as though she were trying to escape.

The nurse ran into the room and to the girl’s bed. She carefully measured potion, and forced the girl to drink it. Almost instantly, there was silence as she fell into a dreamless sleep. “What happened to her, Minerva?”

“I have no idea, I found her lying in a corridor, but I thought I saw someone about the height of a fifth year running around a corner. I couldn’t investigate since it was obvious she needed to come here.”

“Yes,” Pomfrey replied, bending over the first year. “This is a strange curse, whatever it is. I’ve never seen it before.”

That night, Lily couldn’t sleep. There was something bothering her about the first year girl. She dismissed it as stress over her upcoming N.E.W.T.s and fell into a restless sleep.

Almost as soon as her mind slipped into oblivion, a figure rose from a bed a little bit away. It walked silently to Lily’s bed, and the delirious eyes beheld a terror no one else could see. Her wand pointing straight at Lily’s heart, she whispered a spell.

Lily awoke with a start, screaming silently. Her attacker laughed quietly, but unbeknowst to her…

Lily awoke with a start, screaming silently. Her attacker laughed quietly, but unbeknowst to her. As she screamed louder, her throat started to close,like an asthma attack, she was choking, couldn't breathe, need air...

"Lily! LILY!"

"Blugh!"

"Oh yuck! Madam Pomfrey! Lily vomited all over James! A little help neede-Now that's just gross!" Sirius yelled as he watched a vomiting Lily who was covered in sweat vomit over the side of her bed.

"Oh Miss Evans! The heavens above!" Madam Pomfrey shrieked as she rushed to the poor girl, mopping it all up.

"Air, need...air..." Lily gasped and James shook her slightly.

"Lily, It's okay, you're awake, calm down, I'm here, it's okay... it's okay..." He cooed, vanishing the vomit from his pyjamas as he rushed to her other side and held her as Madam Pomfrey rushed off to get potions for her.

"What happened?"

"I was asleep... Person looking at me... some spell... couldn't breathe...ugh..." She gasped, trying to take deep breaths.

"Snape? Was it him?" James asked, giving the cubicle reserved for his enemy the most dirtiest glare.

"No... Tall girl... black shiny hair..." Lily fell back against her pillows in exaustion and Sirius looked James in the eye.

"Bellatrix?" James suggested and Sirius shook his head.

"Regulus." James looked at him funnily.

"Okay, joking, I have no idea," Sirius said and James sighed and turned to Lily when he heard the doors to the wing bang open to reveal...

Okay, that was the worst ending ever, wouldn't you agree? I think I just killed it. (*Sulks back in dungeons...*)

Immediately, Madam Pomfrey ran out of her office, looking paler than any of the ghosts. When she saw Dumbledore, her color brightened when she noticed his arms were empty.

"Oh, thank goodness Headmaster," she cried in relief. "For a second I thought you had someone else that was badly hexed."

"No, no, I merely came to see how serious the situation was," he answered calmly, walking down the ward. "My goodness, six students already?"

"Heavens, no," Madam Pomfrey told him. "In addition to Mr. Black, Mr. Potter and Mr. Snape had been hexed, by each other no doubt, and Miss Evans is doing better and will help me over the break. The three ladies down the end are the only victims so far."

"I see," Dumbledore said. "I certainly hope that the culprit will be found soon, I have just put the entire staff on full alert and to make sure all students are in bed. Good night."

He started walking back up and paused in front of James and Sirius' beds.

"I rather like the new colors for the hospital wing, it makes a nice change," he said quietly.
"And tell Miss Evans that the mural is very creative."

With a small wink, he left. Madam Pomfrey headed for her office once more.

Well, I decided that since no one was responding, I would...you should have posted. But now you have to deal with me....Mwahahahahaha- *starts choking* *clears throat* Okay, I'm better now.

Before she was halfway to the door, a loud bang sounded from the floor above. Madam Pomfrey spun around, and without a second thought to her patients, ran out the door and presumably to wherever the noise had sounded. Snape was still, thankfully, asleep, but Sirius, James, and Lily all looked at each other. With a shrug of his shoulders, Sirius took out his wand and started yet another doodle on the Snape mural on the wall. After a few minutes, it materialized into three students pointing and laughing at Snape.

Madam Pomfrey returned just then, with a rather livid look on her face. She was followed by a fellow seventh-year, a Slytherin by the name of Narcissa Black. She and her sister Bellatrix both attended Hogwarts, but Bellatrix was a year younger. Narcissa held her head high, disdainfully looking at all the other occupants of the Hospital Wing. No one could see what was wrong with her until she passed them to walk to another bed, separated from everyone but closest to Snape, a kinsman of sorts. She was also walking in a rather odd fashion.

This was because she happened to have a cat tail coming from the base of her tailbone.

James doubled over in laughter as Lily covered her mouth as silent tears streamed down her face. Sirius simply looked on impassively, though James could have sworn a slight smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

Madam Pomfrey whipped around, pointing her wand in James' face, who recoiled instantly. "I wouldn't laugh if I were you, Mr. Potter! As it so happens, Ms. Black over here was a cat only moments ago, and she was chasing a poor rat down the halls, who just happens to be a transfigured friend of yours!"

James and Sirius looked at each other, and Lily could see the blood leave their faces. Seconds later, Professor Slughorn waddled in, attempting to support Peter Pettigrew as he limped into the Hospital Wing. He looked at James and Sirius, and seeing their scared faces, said carefully, "It's okay, guys. Everything's under control. It was an accident. They transformed me back alright."

James and Sirius visibly relaxed, the tension leaving their bodies. So their secret was still safe.

Later that night, as the patients were preparing for bed, Remus rushed in, out of breath. "Madam Pomfrey!" he panted. "Out....on the grounds....there's a student....black hair, tall...I couldn't see the face, but I think it was a girl...she's hurt, but...I couldn't bring her up here..." As Madam Pomfrey followed Remus out of the Hospital Wing, Lily looked at James and Sirius.

The only noise over the next ten minutes was the occassional spell coming from James and Sirius' wands, and Peter's not to much later, after having settled in a bed next to James'. Apparently finding the wall down the end of the ward full, they started a new "art project" on the ceiling, which was still aqua blue. Upon hearing footsteps outside, the boys put aside their wands and watched the doors.

His thin frame, trembled with every step he took into the room, he stopped abruptly in front of James' bed and said, "We feared it would come to this, you are no longer safe here, you all must leave at once, Dumbledore has asked me to evacuate you from Hogwarts, the rest of the school will also be evacuated, come morning." "But, why, what happend?" James asked. Just as the house elf opened his mouth to answer, an earsplitting scream could be heard from outside. They all rushed to the window, where they saw...

They all rushed to the window, where they saw a tall figure standing over a crumpled body. Sirius, james and lily cringed as they heard a loud high pitched cackle resonate the grounds.

"No - It couldn't be," Sirius muttered wide- eyed.

"It's about to get much worse," James sounded. Lily follwed his finger which wasn't pointing at the grounds, but at the sky.

Sirius lurched as he looked up at the night sky brightly lit by the full moon. "Oh no! James you have to do something!"

Lily looked between the boys in confusion, "What's going on?" she asked the room at large.

James gave Lily a side glance, and swallowed hard. "It's Remus, he's ... uh...

He never got a chance to finish. At that moment, they could see Madam Pomfrey running back into the castle as Remus transformed before their eyes. Lily gasped in shock and looked at James.

They all nodded in silence and turned back to look out over the grounds.

They heard Remus howl and then run toward the forest, but the cackling wizard fired red light at him. The werewolf gave a loud whimper as he was thrown back. He lay on the ground, his body still.

James ran for the door and pulled it open.

"Where are you going?" Lily asked, a tiny drop of fear ruining the forced calm in her voice.

"I'm not going to stand idly by while I watch my friend get hurt!" James shouted.

"Then I'm coming with you," Lily announced, running up and grabbing his hand. "I'm not letting you go alone."

James looked at her. He wished she would stay in the Hospital Wing while he went to get Remus, but her offering to come when all his other friends were out of commission meant more to him than anything.

His mind debated for a split second before he said, "Lily, I'd like you to...

i so agree!!!!! If everyone is willing to, I will find a beta (I'm terrible at fixing my own work) and I'll submit it with everyone's name in the A.N section or we could do an open series secontion, but that won't really work because each of our posts are 99.9% of the time less than 800 words.

"I take it I'm right," she said. "As to your question, I'm not even sure myself. I think it may be one of those weird wizarding traits people are born with, like Seers and Metamorphmagi, but that's just a theory."
