Dark Arts Classes

Hi everyone,
I'm writing a fic that takes place during DH in Hogwarts. Neville mentioned before the Battle of Hogwarts that Defense Against the Dark Arts was now just Dark Arts. What do you think Carrow would have taught them, other than the Cruciatus Curse? Any ideas?

The Dark Arts Hogwarts Lexicon Section (http://www.hp-lexicon.info/magic/dark_arts.html) is a good place to start. Petrification might be learned, I think it would be a good choice. They might learn Imperio too. Just check out the link, I don't want to repeat anymore:D .

I think that they learnt all the unforgivable curses, not just the cruciatus curse. In the chapter "the battle of hogwarts" in the DH, Crabbe uses fiendfyre in the room of requirement.....that may also have been learnt from Amycus in the Dark Arts class.

In DH, Neville said that instead of Defense Against Dark Arts, they instead, teach just plain 'Dark Arts'.

I agree with the two above me; I fully expect the Carrows to be teaching the seventh years (maybe even sixth or fifth) the unforgivables. I find it quite hard to believe they would let the students perform the Avada Kedavra though.

I don't think they'd have let the students perform Avada Kedevra on other students but maybe they let them practise on animals or insects (like Moody does in GOF). If you remember Crabbe tries to use AK on Hermione in the Rroom of Requirement so he obviously knows how to do it.

Hi all,
Thank you everyone! I think I'll use the Imperius Curse and the Cruciatus Curse (I agree with not teaching Avada Kedavra). I think Fiendfyre is a great idea, and Petrification is, too. I wont have to do an entire year of classes, so this should be enough! Thank you! The link was very helpful, so if I need more ideas perhaps I could use some of the Dark Creatures.
