To the extent of your knowledge, did this error occur before the upgrade? No

What section(s) are you getting the error: Whenever I should receive an email update
Does the error go away when you switch skins. No

Ever since the upgrade, I haven't been getting emails when favorites are updated, or my stories are reviewed, ect. I've checked, but my options are still selected to be getting emails. It could be my spam filter, but I don't think so because it always worked before.

Double-check to make sure your email is spelled correctly. I'll check with an admin to see if your emails are bouncing back. If they aren't, then your email address probably just recently black-listed our server.

For the moment, switch your email to a new one to see if it works. I'm pretty sure the system is still sending emails since most of our validation letters get through.

Well, I've changed my email address, but I still haven't gotten anything. Don't know if that's just because I haven't gotten one, or what, but I'll try this.
Thanks for your help, and could you please let me know what you find out if they're bouncing back?

I reviewed a story of yours. Let me know if you got the alert.

Just a heads up - AIM, AOL, Comcast, and Hotmail are notorious for blocking our emails. Switch to Yahoo or Gmail please and let us know if it works for you.

No email, Beth, even on my new email. The review did come through and I can see it if I go to the story.

For what it's worth, I stopped receiving any MNFF e-mails to my Comcast e-mail account around the time the site was revamped. I switched to my Yahoo e-mail address, and that works OK.

It doens't seem like I'm getting any of my rejection letters. I have no idea why, but it's starting to get annoying.

This is something in regard to Emails, but it's rather confusing...

I used to get emails when a new story of any of my Favourite authors is up, or when one of my Favourite authors posts a new story, or when an author responds to my review.

Now suddenly, I'm getting emails only when a new story is put up/ the author responds to my review. That is, I'm not getting emails when someone updates their story with a new chapter.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong...

If there's a problem with your account, you must give me your uid especially if your forum username doesn't match your database username and if you don't link to your author's page in your signature.

If your favorites are quite popular stories, there is a good chance that they get stuck in queue during validation because there are TOO many alerts to be sent out. Thus, you won't get your alert, and an admin has to manually make the chapter viewable by the public.
