A war is brewing in the Wizarding world. Hogwarts is not the safe haven it used to be. Students are beginning to consider the unthinkable, desperate to save those they love. The corridors are filled with eager spies who are too young to realise the severity of their decisions.
In the midst of it all, the Marauders are closing in on their last year of schooling. James is learning that letting go is sometimes the only way to move forward. Lily discovers that what she was looking for all along is right in front of her, while Sirius and Remus struggle to keep the group together, each in their own way. And Peter begins to realise that he can be more than a tiny piece of a large puzzle, perhaps the most dangerous epiphany of all.
Sides must be taken, a war must be fought, and prices must be paid—some higher than others. Choices are made that will undoubtedly change the course of the future. And from this darkness, the phoenix must rise.
Summary: Pre-HP Hogwarts-mid-1930's. Elizabett Castlewood, a Hufflepuff raised in a circle of Slytherins, has created a new course for Hogwarts-Muggle Studies. Within the first months at school, she captures the attention of a certain Transfiguration professor.
After it was all said and done, Harry wanted a sandwich. However, Ron knew that what he wanted was far deeper and complex and maddening and insufferable. But could Hermione ever forgive him for leaving her behind? Could he ever forgive himself?
This story was nominated for a 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Canon Romance.
Summary: He withdrew his arms from around her, and reached into the back pocket of his shorts. As he bent down to kiss her again, he took hold of her hand, and placed inside it a square box. “Happy birthday.”
This is the tale of a birthday… A seventeenth birthday, no less. It tells of a present given to a redheaded teenager by the love of her life, a gift that became the best present she would ever receive; better than all past and all future presents. It tells of a present she would never, ever forget.
Summary: This is a character study of Draco in poem form.
Imagine him coming to in the hospital wing after being attacked by Harry (HBP, Sectumsempra) and what's going through his mind.
Summary: The seven women who loved Ron Weasley.
Summary: What if Harry didn't break up with Ginny so stoically? My own version of Harry and Ginny's break-up, from Ginny's POV. One-shot.
By the way, I'm not JK Rowling. No surprises there. The only payment I'm getting is reviews! Speaking of which, all reviews will receive a reply!
This is a tale of two separated souls who slowly found one another in times of crisis. And how, in the greatest crisis of all, their son in mortal danger, they stood united against the darkness.
This is the story of James and Lily Potter.
Summary: Sometimes, Molly needs to cry about something besides her sons.
Summary: Time is one of the great mysteries of the universe, its seeming simplicity misleading and its true complexity both astounding and mystifying…
Time is a restricting force, and it only ever wants to move forward, but in reality its boundaries are far easier to bend than one might expect. Time travel is something wizards have been experimenting with since the beginning of time, and they have finally mastered the art. However, all of the Ministry’s time turners have been broken, and it seems that, even for wizards, the ability to travel through time is once again lost. That is, until two people stumble across a rather extraordinary object that manages to do something even the time turners could not accomplish; it can send people years, decades or even farther into the depths of the past. The trouble is, after this object is used, it provides no way in which the user can return. They are forever trapped in time… unless they can find a way back. The question is, how?
Summary: These are just a collection of one-shots I wrote out of boredom one day. Each story involves a journal, but that is the only thing they have in common. The stories are slightly random, don’t necessarily fit into any timeline, but I tried to stay true to the characters.
I hope you enjoy.
Summary: “Tell me it wasn’t you, Peter. Tell me that they didn’t use you, that they used somebody, anybody else.”
One man alone changed the fate of the entire wizarding world. One man condemned himself to thirteen years as a rat for the ultimate betrayal. But just how did Peter Pettigrew come to be, Scabbers?
O.W.L.s, Quidditch and the Added Distraction of Sirius Black by Equinox Chick
Rated: 1st-2nd Years [Reviews - 4]
Summary: Martha Macdonald is in trouble. If she doesn't pass enough O.W.L.s then her dad has decreed that she will not be coming back to Hogwarts for her N.E.W.T. years. For Martha, returning to Hogwarts is essential or her dream of playing professional Quidditch will disappear faster than the Snitch at the start of a match.
Perhaps if she'd studied instead of flying, then she wouldn't be in this mess. Maybe if her boyfriend wasn't the distracting Sirius Black, then her brains wouldn't turn to mush as soon as she bent over her textbooks.
Or, says a small voice in the back of her head, perhaps she's just stupid.
Will Martha scrape an Acceptable or will she always be a Troll?
This is Equinox Chick from Hufflepuff, and this is my entry in the Madam Pomfrey's Character Clinic Triathlon: Original Characters. Prompt # 1 - Exam Stress
Thank you to Kara (Karaley Dargen) for beta'ing this fic.
Martha Macdonald is my OC from The Lions of Gryffindor and Apparently Asleep.
Disclaimer: Sirius Black is not mine. He belongs to JK Rowling as does everything else you recognise in this story.
Summary: The first Quidditch World Cup final since the demise of Lord Voldemort has arrived. But who in their right mind would appoint Zacharias Smith as the commentator? And how is it possible for someone to be so rude? Poor Cho Chang would love to know.
This fic was written by the Slytherin team for the Jan/Feb QWC round over on the Beta Forums.
Summary: Victoire and Teddy are at that awkward stage. They're not adults yet, but they'll jinx you if you refer to them as "one of the kids." Victoire, especially, is sick of all her little cousins at the Annual Weasley Family reunion, so when Teddy finally shows up, the two of them escape out into the garden as fast as possible.
Summary: He never was sure why he went to that first meeting. He gave different answers to different audiences. To some, he claimed it was to show that he was different from his father, to break with the family legacy. To others, he said that with ambitions like his, he thought it wise to take advantage of another opportunity to practice for Defense Against the Dark Arts. To yet others, he told that he had been bored that night, and welcomed the chance of an interesting diversion.
Perhaps it was one of those things. Perhaps it was none of them. Perhaps it was a combination of the three.
Perhaps it had something to do with the most infuriating, distracting mane of red hair at all of Hogwarts.
Scorpius Malfoy got a lot more than he bargained for when he went to the first meeting of the newly revived DA -- a large bruise, distraction, and a very angry family, to name a few things. Gradually, it would become apparent that he gained something, something like friendship and perhaps more.
Would he be ready to embrace it? Would it be worth it?
Elijah Macmillan was working over late...again. Mister Blotts charged him with the onerous task of cleaning out the hated 'Rejected' room of the print shop, and judging by the amount of files waiting to be sorted, it was going to be a while.
However, amidst his dusty tribulations, Elijah happened upon a rather remarkable artifact. in the form of outtakes from the Gilderoy Lockhart bestseller, Year with the Yeti. Curiosity overtakes the overworked young man, and in the course of reading these excerpts, he finds a new perspective on one of the modern era's most misunderstood individuals.
Summary: It's the last year, the final. The Marauders along with Lily and other familiar faces are returning to Hogwarts for the last time.
Already, Sirius is having girl problems, James decides he needs to get some issues off his chest.
And Lily, has an argument with an old friend, hugs her new friend, and gains a boyfriend ?
This is bellatrix-black-lestrange of Slytherin writing for the final in the MWPP class on the Beta Boards
Summary: "There is someone there. Someone watching us. I can tell. There, over by the bushes."
(Hermione Granger to Harry Potter, Christmas Night 1997, graveyard in Godric's Hollow)
Christmas 1997 story, compliant to DH 1st half. My guess as to the person hiding behind the bushes? Professor Severus Snape visiting Lily Evans. The story is Snape-Potter mentoring one.
Summary: Bodmin Moor is a cold and unforgiving place. When Halcyon Rosmerta is left stranded by her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend she finds herself having to depend upon the kindness of a rather strange man with a definate reluctance to go outside. But what lurks in his cellar?
