It’s been a month, and the wound is still raw and fresh as ever in my mind. It hurts to know that what we had once is now gone. All because of one word, one choice.
I know that Dumbledore always says that it’s the choices we make that set us apart. But I hate the fact that we are forced to make a choice and take a side. If only he hadn’t been in Slytherin, if only he hadn’t been into the Dark Arts, if only he wasn’t taking that side, if only he didn’t call me that word.
Summary: When Lily Potter is humiliated by her brother, she sees her chances of a date with the lush Greg Cadwallader disintegrate. But rather than hide away in the kitchens, she decides this time that James has gone too far. She wants revenge, but how does she get the punishment to fit the crime?

Runner up QSQ - Best Chaptered Canon Romance
Reason for Nomination:
This is the most unique take on how James and Lily really got to know each other. The story is hilarious and keeps you laughing throughout, but it never lets you forget the serious stuff. Plus, she somehow manages to end each chapter with a nice cliffhanger.
The harsh realities of life separated them, but the even harsher realities of death brought them back together. But could an apology bring back the loss of innocence?
A companion piece to Hollow Soldiers.
This story has been nominated for a 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Dark/Angst Story.

Cyril has been nominated for Best OC in the 2011 Quicksilver Quills awards. =D
Even the jubilance of a Quidditch Cup could become taxing on Percy's nerves, but it seemed almost cruel when he couldn't even take a shower in peace, despite it being well after midnight.
Driven out of his own dorm and to the prefects' bathroom that he scarcely ever visits, Percy finds that the room hadn't yet been vacated by its prior occupant.
Summary: It's the end of an era, a hero is dead.
