The note arrived on his desk without fanfare, so when he opened it, Harry had no idea its contents would change his life.
If he had known, would he still have read?
For the note was from Malfoy. Harry had something of his, and he wanted it back.

“You and I, we'll be young forever!” *
After a long, interesting, sweltering summer the Marauders are back for their sixth year, and they feel as though their teenage lives have only just begun.
James has been pursuing Lily for years, and he sure as hell isn't going to give up now. Sirius might actually be falling in love (though of course that can't be possible, can it?), and Remus is struggling with problems in his own family. Meanwhile, Peter has to decide how much worth he can put on friends who he will never live up to. And then there's Lily Evans, a girl who's starting to fall for the very man she swore not to. Diana McKinnon, her best friend, keeps finding herself staring at a certain grey-eyed Gryffindor, even though every piece of logic she has tells her that he's trouble.
But even though there's the looming danger of NEWTs, pranks, oily Slytherins, and physical education, a much bigger problem has presented itself. The Marauders' sixteen-year-old world isn't the safe place it used to be. There are rumors of danger and dark magic throughout the school, and of a powerful dark wizard named Voldemort. The Gryffindor sixth years have to decide where their true allegiances lie and how much they are willing to sacrifice for a war that seems impossible to win.
*Title and quote taken from the lyrics of Katy Perry's summer hit Teenage Dream.

Some, when sitting as I am now, ponder how they have arrived in this place. They do not recognise themselves
, let alone the person sitting opposite them. That isn’t the case with me. There is no mystery; there is no question.
It was me - all me. Well, me and him

Aged sixteen, their parents were being relentlessly pursued by Voldemort and attempting to deliver the Wizarding World from an evil tyrant. They fought against far older and more experienced wizards to bring about their victory and create a safer world for their children; to give them the normal childhoods they were deprived of.
Aged sixteen, their children are fighting, but against themselves. They battle against their own self-destructive nature and their foreign, inexplicable feelings. They wrestle with the pressures of friendships, family, relationships and work. They fight to keep secrets buried and to keep their friendships once the secrets are revealed.
Whoever said 'normal' was easy?

In 1993, Bill Weasley is working on a tomb in Egypt with a team of Magiarchaeologists and Curse-Breakers. It is a job like any other ... or so it seems, until members of the expedition start dying, and Bill has to race against time to figure out what exactly it is that they awakened in the tomb of Mentuhotep, and how it can be stopped before it reaches him.
The following are characters from JKR’s creations: Bill Weasley, Ragnok, Agatha Chubb (QttA), and the last names of Deverill and Pilliwickle. I don’t own them and never will! I owe a large debt to Hannah (coolh5000), Carole (EquinoxChick), and Natalie (hestiajones) for their constant encouragement and help at various stages of this story.Fair Warning: Some of the reviews (naturally) contain spoilers, especially those towards the end. So if you want to be safe, don't read those before you read the story.

Summary: For me, he was an obsession, a burning obsession, one that I could never let go of. I could never take my eyes off him, never not listen to anything he was saying. I followed him anywhere I could, agreed with everything he said, went along with all his mad schemes. I thought about him all the time, but I never said one word to him about it. My obsession with him went far beyond what Sirius and Remus felt. It was all-consuming. He was my drug, my addiction.
