Summary: Ron had the perfect plan. He was going to ask Hermione to marry him. However, his perfect plan gets ruined when his family comes home and he loses the ring. This night was supposed to be perfect; can he fix the mess and still win Hermione over?
I am GinervaPotter213 of Huflepuff and this is my entry for the I Challenge Thee challenge. My challenge is to write a one-shot of Ron proposing to Hermione including a lost engagement ring, the Weasley family and Luna.
Summary: They have battled evil, fate, destiny, time, even each other. Now Ron and Hermione take an emotional ride to battle something equally as treacherous….nerves.
The third installment in my “Battles” series continues here in a fluffier-than-is-normal-for-this-author tale depicting the Jitters Ron and Hermione experience when popping the big question and the events leading up to it.
If you have just found this story, be sure to read “Internal Battles” and “Battling Boundaries”. This story stands alone, but the other two will help complete the back-story. You should enjoy them too! Let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: JKR started it…I am just playing with the fabulous characters!
Summary: Hermione is having a tough time coping with the after shock of the war, so she turns to Ron for closure.
Summary: Ron's dreams are still haunted by Bellatrix Lestrange's brutal assalt on Hermione three years on. His admission to Hermione leads to an unexpected reaction and a revelation about their relationship which he will not soon forget.
Ron sat there, lost for words, staring helplessly at the clearly deranged woman in front of him. Hermione was quieter and her voice steadier, but no less dangerous, when she spoke next.
Note: The opening lines are taken from Chapter Twenty-Three of Deathly Hallows.
Summary: Ron has been looking for the right moment to propose to Hermione and hopes tonight is the night. Conversation goes to what the future holds for both of them throughout their dinner, but will the right moment ever come?
Summary: PRE-DH Happiness and love can be learned from the strangest of packages. You just have to open your eyes and untie the ribbons.
Ron and Hermione discover this in a little bundle—or ball—of joy and hair.~This is especially written for my mongrel, Jego, and all doggies and dog-lovers in the HP Universe.
Summary: Victor was Hermione’s Quidditch star in shining robes. Strong, foreign, and athletic, he was very much a steal, that is, if you were an ogre. Out of all the wizarding boys in the world, she had to pick that one? Ron didn’t understand it. What did Victor have that he didn’t have?
Summary: It is the year 1863, the year one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War was fought. Private Weasley sees himself standing on the threshold of glory, holding onto the promise of victory when he can return home and marry his beloved Miss Granger.
Summary: Songfic based upon the song 'Same Auld Lang Syne' by Dan Fogelberg. Professional Quidditch player Ron Weasley and Ministry of Magic employee Hermione Granger meet at the Leaky Cauldron late on Christmas eve and converse for the first time in years. As they part, Ron realizes something huge.
Summary: This story takes place about midway through "The Half-Blood Prince" and details some squabbles (and fluff :D) between Ron and Hermione. The rating is just to be safe. :)
Summary: After the last battle Ron and Hermione started a relationship. But Ron's love for being an Auror soon surpasses Hermione, and they break it off, both heartbroken and discouraged. Hermione’s love for books has obscured her mind, and she soon discovers a tiny shop on the outskirts of Muggle London to establish a bookstore, a place where she can wield her own adoration as well as assist others in theirs. She leaves the magical world and all of the friends she's made behind with it. She hides her wand in a box under bed, away from any harm or pretense to use it. Fairly soon, what had started out as a shop that many thought would go out of business in weeks had established itself as a very worthwhile enterprise. Mark, Hermione's boyfriend, is constantly toying with her nerves, his abusive and whiny persona taking its toll on her life.
On a very important date in Muggle London, Mark proposes to Hermione under the oddest of circumstances, and Hermione glimpses Ron for the first time in nearly a year. Her love for him causes Mark to be outraged, and they leave the scene they have made in shambles.
Ron and Hermione are soon dating again, now that their lives have settled and their jobs are at ease. All is going well until Hermione begins to show signs of sickness. Bruises are forming on her body and she can't make out where they came from. She dismisses them and blames it on clumsiness, but the headaches become worse and worse until one day she finally collapses and is taken to St. Mungo's.
Hermione's illness turns out to be worse than anyone could have ever imagined. Will she be able to overcome it, and will true love prevail it all?
This is a new and improved, revamped version of this story. It has been rewritten halfway in compliance with DH. The older story, with all of its lovely reviews, have been regretfully deleted to make room for this version. Enjoy!
Summary: Ron has been away from home too long for Mrs Weasley's liking. Why? Because he is now the only unmarried son left. So, this time when he is home for a special family celebration, she takes him to task and makes sure that he takes this issue of "settling down" seriously. But, Ron had given up on finding love on his own. Will he find love with the help of his parents? Sure, he will. But....how?
Summary: One of Ron and Hermione's infamous arguments in Gryffindor Tower gets slightly out-of-hand, leading to complication, confusion, and an unexpected apology. But conquering their feelings becomes only the first in a series of battles the two must face.
Summary: Hermione Weasley is just about at her breaking point. She has two options, hex her husband into oblivion or walk away. A short one-shot about the less fluffy side of marriage.
Summary: Hermione decides that she's done with Ron and his constant want to pick fights with her. Not thinking that things could get any worse, Ron tells her how he really feels. Cute little One Shot form Ron's POV. Definitely a little fluffy.
Her eyes widened and she opened her mouth to say something. When nothing came out, I removed my hand from her chin, and I felt my face flushing scarlet again.
How could I have been so stupid?
“I understand,” I heard myself saying, but deep down I knew I never would.
Can a book really help Ron win Hermione's heart?
Ron Weasley has liked Hermione Granger for quite some time. There's only one problem: she doesn't know it yet.
It's their sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Ron is finally ready to confess his feelings to her.
But a new heartthrob roams the halls, and he seems to have his eye on Hermione. And it turns out that she has his eye on him, too.
With the help of a magical book, Ron will try to win Hermione's heart, before somebody else does.
Summary: All the joy that Hermione possessed had been extinguished by the loss of one person: the one person she could never have thought of losing.
This is Phily of Hufflepuff for the Colours of the Spectrum Challenge - part 1
Summary: The day after the Last Battle as Ron counts his losses, Hermione reminds him what was worth fighting for in the first place.
Summary: There are some people that get everything they want from life. There are some people who don't. This is the story of two of those unfortunate people who didn't.
Summary: A Ron/Hermione piece from Seamus's P.O.V.
Over the years Seamus starts refering to Hermione as a 'no-go', but when the Graduation Ball rolls around will Ron finally take the hints Seamus has been dropping and ask Hermione?
“Don’t worry – Hermione’s a no-go, we all know that right Weasley?” I grin.
He’s certainly wasn’t happy at this moment and told me in no uncertain terms to “Bloody well piss off!”
